Hi Krissy Burch, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?

At RYE The Label, our journey began from a simple yet relatable experience. While shopping with our husbands, we noticed a common complaint – the lack of comfortable spaces for them to relax and enjoy the experience. It sparked the idea to create a shopping destination that catered not only to the fashion needs of women but also to the comfort and enjoyment of their companions.

In collaboration with our husbands, we envisioned a space that went beyond the traditional retail setting. RYE The Label is more than just a store; it’s a community hub. We curated an environment that offers a unique blend of shopping and leisure, featuring a selection of local beer, a stylish bar, a comfortable lounge area, and a big screen TV. This dedicated space allows everyone to have an enjoyable time while shopping.

To further enhance the experience, we introduced a thoughtfully curated collection of men’s clothing. The goal was not only to bring couples closer during shopping outings but also to provide a space where everyone looks forward to spending time.

RYE The Label is not just a brand; it’s a concept born out of collaboration, consideration, and a passion for fostering connections. We invite our customers to immerse themselves in an experience that transcends traditional retail, making shopping an enjoyable and shared activity for all.

a visit to the Fountains at Gateway for a delightful ice skating session. Indulge in sweet treats like hot cocoa from Just Love in the mornings and milkshakes at the soda bar in the afternoons. They also offer movie nights, corn hole and live concerts in the spring-fall. Take it to Nashville to experience the lively atmosphere of Broadway for live music and fun, and explore the vibrant shopping scene at 5th and Broadway. Take a break with a glass of wine at 60 Vines, combining shopping with a touch of relaxation.

In reflecting on the success of our business, there are several individuals and groups whose unwavering support has played a pivotal role in our journey. First and foremost, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our families – our spouses, who not only inspired the inception of RYE The Label but actively collaborated with us in creating a space that caters to a diverse audience.

Our close friends have been an incredible source of encouragement and motivation, providing invaluable insights and cheering us on during both the highs and lows of entrepreneurship.
