Meet Keosha Thomas | CEO & Founder of Tallgirlsmatter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Keosha Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Keosha, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process was to be a blessing and win for women, kids , teens and anyone who loves tall women. I aimed to become a resource, safe space, and worldwide positive community to impact and showcase tall women in a positive manner.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We are a global tall community catering to all the needs of tall women 5 9″ and up no mater their race, size or location. I worked hard to build and expand the brand to what it is today. Of course, it has not been easy but that is the reward in this. It has been a great learning opportunity and as with anything in life sometimes there are bumps or challenges along the way. These have helped me to stay focused and looking at the journey and goals with tunnel vision. I have learned that I am one person and in order to provide the best community, I have to recharge and pour into myself. I give so much of my time and energy. I have also learned about what it takes took have and build a great community.
I would like everyone to know that Tallgirlsmatter is dear to my heart and I look at everyone as family. I am working hard and trying to take my vision and goals to the next level for the generations to come. There is no TGM without our community so it starts with each member.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
As a native Nashvillian I would have to say my go to spots would be:
Prince’s Hot Chicken – The originator of Nashville hot chicken and often many try to duplicate but it is the original creator of “hot chicken”
Monell’s – a great family oriented style restaurant where you sit with strangers and eat as much as you would like of 5 course soul food meal
Bar Tacos – has amazing tacos and freshly squeezed Margaritas
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a huge shoutout to my daughter Keeley Thomas who is my why in even doing this, my mother Catrena Thomas for making me the strong tall confident woman I am today and of course my TN chapter president Darah Cabknor who has been a tall class act, our TGM ambassadors and all the women who have supported and joined our community along the way! THANK YOU ALL!
