We had the good fortune of connecting with Keith R. Higgons and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Keith R., what do you attribute your success to?
Stick-to-it-ivness is the key. If you have a vision, stick to it… but don’t be afraid to pivot. Make sure that you understand what success means to you, too.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What you are most proud of or excited about? The future.

How did you get to where you are today professionally?
Vision and hard work.

Was it easy?
No.

If not, how did you overcome the challenges?
You stick with it. Take the lumps as they come… and boy howdy, they will come.

What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way?
1. Pivot as necessary.
2. Be open.
3. Stick to it.

What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
Much like our tagline, Abandoned Albums is ‘the only music podcast that matters.”

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
As a creative, we’re all standing on the shoulders of giants. Yes, there is one person who helped me initially. She was a source of great encouragement and support. I will be forever grateful. But also, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention all the people who crinkled their faces when I said what I was doing. People love to poo poo ideas and be naysayers, and you can let those people crush you and your ideas, or you can use it for fuel. I choose the latter every time.
