Meet Keisha Hall | Manicurist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Keisha Hall and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Keisha, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
I’m a mother of three Kings. And I would say that one of the most important things I’ve done to impact my young men is to show them that completing what you started will be rewarding in the end. I went to cosmetology school and completed and mastered being a manicurist. And it is rewarding one nail at a time. I also, went to college and have a A.A.S. in Science (Medical Laboratory Technology).
Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
What sets me apart from others is how detailed I am with quality & how passionate I am with my craft. I would say I’m where I’m at professionally partially do to being just that professional. I’m passionate about my craft and each client that sits in my chair is a person not a number and they realize that. And in that I’ve build a rapport and a true relationship with my clients that are more like family. It was pretty easy to get to where I am professionally, because I always had the mentality to treat people like I love to be treated. Now, one of the lessons that I’ve learned with being in business is to always keep it professional and keep personal separate. They don’t mix well like water and oil. I would like the world to know that I am very ardent about my craft and that it is my goal to always make sure you love my work of art.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely take them to Crosstown Concourse. There’s great drinks, great food options, live entertainment, art shows and more. And if they come in the spring time we would definitely go to Loflin Yards & enjoy the weather, the cocktails and appetizers, also, they have great entertainment as well.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shout out my husband Jeremy. He has been behind me every step of the way in all of my endeavors. And without him I don’t believe they would have been possible. He’s my rock and my go to. And whenever I question my abilities he ensures me that I can do anything I want to. And I dare not to forget my Kings (Jeremy Jr. , K’Vion, & Jermiah)! They keep me grounded and always push me for greatness as well. My small family is my circle of encouragement and strength.
