Meet Keisha Griggs | dynamic entrepreneur, accomplished author, notary public, and innovative digital creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Keisha Griggs and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Keisha, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
One of my favorite quotes is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” This verse holds a special place in my heart because it reminds me of the inner strength and resilience that faith provides. As an entrepreneur, author, notary, and digital creator, I often face challenges and uncertainties. This quote serves as a constant reminder that with faith, determination, and hard work, I can overcome any obstacle and achieve my goals. It empowers me to push forward, stay positive, and trust in the process, no matter how difficult the journey may be.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My work spans across several domains, but at the heart of it all is a passion for empowering others and creating lasting impacts. I run Griggs Notary Services, providing reliable notary and wedding officiant services through Elegant I Do’s by Griggs. Additionally, I founded Positive Inspir Designs, where I channel my creativity into designing meaningful and inspiring digital content. My commitment to financial literacy and community empowerment is embodied in LegacyFinance Academy, which teaches financial skills to minority communities, particularly children and young adults. I am also an Amazon author, sharing my knowledge and experiences through my writing.
What sets my work apart is a deep commitment to inclusivity and community empowerment. I strive to provide services and resources that are accessible, impactful, and tailored to the unique needs of each client or student.
Getting to where I am today was far from easy. Starting a business with just $100 and scaling it to a realistic revenue within two years required immense perseverance, strategic planning, and continuous learning. There were numerous challenges, from securing funding to navigating market fluctuations, but I overcame them through a combination of faith, hard work, and support from my mentors and community.
One of the key lessons I’ve learned is the importance of resilience and adaptability. Challenges are inevitable, but each setback is an opportunity to learn and grow. Staying true to my mission and values has also been crucial; it keeps me focused and motivated even when the going gets tough.
I want the world to know that my journey is a testament to the power of determination and community support. My brands—Griggs Notary Services, Positive Inspir Designs, LegacyFinance Academy, and Elegant I Do’s by Griggs—reflect my dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of others. Whether through reliable notary services, creating memorable wedding experiences, designing inspirational digital content, teaching financial literacy, or sharing my knowledge as an Amazon author, my goal is to empower, uplift, and inspire.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I owe a significant part of my success to the unwavering support and love of my family. My grandpa (Sam) rest his soul, instilled in me the values of hard work and perseverance, and know he is watching over me has been a constant source of motivation.
Additionally, I would like to give a heartfelt shoutout to my granny, my mentors and my girls, whose guidance and insights have been invaluable. The Black-owned business community has also been a tremendous support system, offering encouragement and shared wisdom. Thanks to Teresitta Jones for showing love and not letting anything stand in her way.
A special mention goes to the book “The Lean Startup” by Eric Ries, which revolutionized my approach to business and helped me scale my ventures effectively. Lastly, my faith community has been a pillar of strength, providing spiritual nourishment and encouragement through every challenge and triumph.
