We had the good fortune of connecting with Kayli Krasnow and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kayli, what matters most to you?
I think one of the most important values to me is being kind and empathetic. I always try to treat friends, family, and patients with kindness, patience, and empathy. By exhibiting kindness toward others, even with just making eye contact, smiling, and saying “Hi,” you can make someone’s day. By showing empathy, you can build trust with your patients and improve outcomes by showing you understand the patients needs and goals. Being an aesthetic nurse practitioner not only takes skill, and an artist’s eye, but it also entails understanding the products and the patient’s goals and knowing how to provide the best outcome for the individual.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I would say that I have 2 sides to my art! A lot of people don’t know that I actually painted the mural in our reception area at the office and the piece in our break room (AND I also do my own nails – I love trying to create nail art and also do my friends’ nails… when I have the time). But being an aesthetic nurse practitioner is part medical and part artist. I think what sets me apart from others in our field is that I’m quite intentionally conservative with the enhancements I create. My patients trust me to make subtle enhancements, so that their results are truly natural appearing, without changing what makes you you!. There are so many “rules” and “ideas” and “measurements” when it comes to cosmetic enhancements, but I feel that the most important place to start is with your patient’s anatomy and their goals, and educate and treat them for the best outcome. My favorite follow up comments from patients are when their friends or family say something along the lines of “You’re eyes are really popping!” when we both know it’s because we did a little facial balancing and a little lip filler (wink wink).

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We love to take our friends to go trail running at Percy or Edwin Warner Parks or Beaman Nature Preserve. We are so lucky to live in an urban jungle like Nashville, AND have places like these that feel so far from city but are just minutes from our house! Seeing a comedy show at Zanies is our favorite way to spend a night out – who doesn’t love to laugh your ass off? But, if we’re going to stay out late (most people that know us know that we’re asleep by 9pm at the latest), we usually hit up Acme down on lower Broadway – the best food, the best views, and the best music on the strip!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband and business partner, Chad, is my #1 supporter. We created this business with the goal that we both get to work together at Hi, Finch, and he has trusted me the past 3 years with managing the day to day of the practice along with providing patient care, while he has continued his corporate job to support the household while Hi, Finch grows. He has been a mentor, a manager, and a teacher throughout this process.
