Meet Karyssa Michellé | Self Love Coach and Therapist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Karyssa Michellé and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Karyssa, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to create a business surrounded by my passion. I am very passionate about empowering women who are struggling to let go of painful life experience build confidence, heal, and live intentionally by curating positive mindsets, motivation, and purpose through raising self awareness. This business will manifest my ideal lifestyle which involves more financial freedom, quality time with family, traveling, and living an abundant life! I want to be at peace each day with what I do and fulfilling my purpose is in alignment with that goal!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am both a licensed therapist and certified self love coach. I love that my profession is in alignment with my passion to help empower women. I am excited about growing my business and reaching more women to help them build their confidence and learn the value in loving self. This all began from my own personal experience and self love journey in my early 20s. I began my career in the mental health field as a case manager. After enrolling in my master’s program, interning, and passing my licensing exam; I became a therapist. I have been a therapist for over 5 years and am experienced with group therapy, trauma informed approaches, and cognitive behavior interventions. I’ve always had a passion to help women build self esteem and so I later enrolled in a self love coach program to become a certified coach. My journey has not been easy and I’ve had several life circumstances that have prolonged it. It requires dedication, determination, and follow through, but trusting the process has made me confident that this is my life’s purpose. I’ve learned that anything that seems difficult or challenging is well worth the efforts in the end. My brand, Karyssa Michelle, is a personal brand that empowers women who struggle to let go of painful experiences build confidence, heal, and live intentionally by curating positive mindsets, motivation, and purpose through raising self awareness.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would definitely explore all of the new attractions in the Old City. I think downtown Knoxville is filled with so much personality and each day, a new adventure is in store!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shout out my parents for always supporting my dreams!
