Meet Justin Wright | Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Justin Wright and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Justin, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started this business to solve a problem I was facing in my own life as a Christian parent. I needed an easy way to get my kids excited about taking baths and reading Bible stories.
Before I created Bibbelbubs bath time was always a battle and by the time I finally got my boys out of the bath I had zero energy to read them a Bible story.
Bible story bath bombs got them excited about taking baths and they were asking to read the Bible story to see how the toy inside their bath bomb showed up in the Bible story.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
One of the things I am most proud of is that there is no other product like Bibbelbubs on the market. There are bath bombs with toys and there are Bible stories, but nobody ever thought to put the two together to create a fun an impactful experience for kids and their parents.
If you had told me 3 years ago that I would have a Bible story bath bomb business I would have laughed in your face. I had never done any of the things that I would need to do to make this product and business a reality.
I had to figure out how to take a product from a dream to a reality, write/illustrate a children’s book, and run an e-commerce business.
Whenever I have felt discouraged along the way I remind myself that everyone who ever did something great started at the beginning just like I am. Failures are just part of the journey. They will make you will stop pursuing your dream or teach you what you needed to learn to get to the next level.
When people think of Bibbelbubs I want them to think of a brand they can trust that aligns with their values and creates a safe place for kids to encounter God.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Oh man…there’s so many things to do but I would have to focus on all the amazing food Nashville has to offer. Full disclosure, I have three kids so I’m not fully up to date on all the new and trendy restaurants but I have some Nashville classics that are on the list.
I would start the day with brunch at Frothy Monkey and getting to coffee to go as we check out all the fun shops in 12 south. After we burn through some cash and calories we would head over to Martin’s BBQ on Belmont for lunch. If we aren’t in a food coma by that point we would go for a hike at Percy Warner, head back home for a shower and then grab dinner at Urban Grub before heading to a concert at the Ryman.
The next day we would grab Baja Burrito and take it to go as we drive to Narrows of the Harpeth. There is an amazing overlook there which is probably the best spot to eat burritos. Then we would jump in our Kayaks and float down the Harpeth River. It’s one of my favorite spots to kayak because the river does a horseshoe and you can get away with only brining one car.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I don’t mean to sound like a cliche’ but I give all credit to God. He is the one that put this idea on my heart and has carried me through all of the ups and downs that come with starting and running a small business. My entire mission is about getting kids excited about reading Bible stories and learning how much God loves them…so my business wouldn’t exist without him.
