Meet Julia Schmidt | Christian recording artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Julia Schmidt and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Julia, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
As a Christian recording artist, my faith in God, His promises and will for me and my music is what allows me to keep going and to not give up easily, even when there are obstacles that come my way. Support and prayer from family and friends is the next important reason to keep going. When there are days that I may question my ability to keep writing/ recording and releasing music into the world, I’m reminded of all of those who are encouraging me to continue this passion/ gift granted by God. My mission is to help and encourage others on their journey of life through my music/ ministry, and point them to the love, peace, mercy and grace of God. That no matter what the moment or day looks like He is always there waiting to rescue us with His merciful love, to bring us back to Him.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As a Christian recording artist, I’m So grateful and so excited to be able to share not only my music but my experiences to help others that may have or may be going through difficult times. Sometimes it’s difficult to be vulnerable, but if it can help another heart it’s worth it.
The musical journey started about three years ago, and since I said “ Yes” to God’s calling in my life, He’s opened doors I’ve never would have imagined. There will always be challenges when we go after our true calling. Prayer, faith and, perseverance, trust in God will always be the answer to get through the obstacles.
The lessons I’ve learned have been to discern who I’m supposed to be work with. It’s important to have others who surround you with prayer, advice encouragement, and talent. Open communication is also a big key factor.
I’d love the world to know I’m an everyday person just like anyone else, but willing to share my experiences., with a vulnerable heart. I love to have others walk alongside my life/ musical journey.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love the outdoors, so in my area the best thing to do is visit the Delaware water gap and check out all the beautiful trails, waterfalls, and scenic views, especially during the fall foliages or fresh snowfalls. I’m a simple person, so quaint coffee shops, finding a rustic restaurant or just walking around small towns to do some window shopping, especially around the holidays is always a fun, and memorable time. If feeling adventurous, we live about and hour and ten from NYC.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
