We had the good fortune of connecting with JT Sudderth and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi JT, how do you think about risk?
Risk has sculpted my strategies as a business owner. It is essential to a successful and thriving business, but it’s more than just risk. This will be explained very soon. I believe in full transparency, just so you know, and I’m going to tell you about the mistake I made that influences every decision I make in my business. I used to trade derivatives (option calls and puts) in the stock market.… basically gambling if you’re not actually working on wall street. Early in to high school I had a great amount of success in these investment styles. Sadly, it was short lived. I had $212 left in my back account and my back was to the wall. This didn’t make me crave money, but instead knowledge… how can I never make this mistake again? The answer was really, you can never negate 100% risk but you can avoid a large amount of it – the only way to do that is know every possible outcome of your decision. From there, decide what outcomes you do NOT want and find a way to avoid those. Low risk – high reward is possible. It just takes strategy.

What should our readers know about your business?
Loyalty. That is what sets us apart from others in our industry. I’ve always had a passion for sales and negotiations, along with investing. In real estate, you can implement all of those; those three skills empower clients like you to blow your transactional goals out of the water. Using a background in financial analysis, multiple years of sales experience, and utmost loyalty to you as my client, our company is paving the way for real estate investments and sales. I am very proud to say after countless obstacles and vast amounts of perseverance, we are currently leaving our imprint as a trustworthy and versatile solution to real estate investments.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If you’re taking a weeklong trip to East Tennessee, these are your must stop places. First, I’ll give you a one day itinerary of my “MUST DO’s”. You’re going to plan your day around, traveling to Cades Cove. First you’re going to stop at a pancake house in the Smokies. Then you’re going to rent a bike and go through Cades Cove enjoying the beautiful scenery. Next, you’re going to make your way back to Knoxville and eat dinner at the Lonesome Dove!

And that’s just one day; here are some other honorable mentions you should try if you’re here.

Southern Grit
Admirals Dough Joe
Honeybee Coffee
Back Dough
Clean Smoke BBQ
Fivethirty Lounge
Travel to Nashville for Five Daughters Bakery

Market Square Farmers Market
Shop at Turkey Creek
