Meet Joel Moore | Influencer & Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Joel Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Joel, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My decision to start my own business stemmed from a deep-seated entrepreneurial spirit; I’ve always been driven to forge my own path, create my own sources of income, and have the freedom to manage my time according to my personal and professional needs. I was never truly content with the idea of working under someone else’s command, adhering to their schedules and priorities. Instead, I wanted to build something that was not only a reflection of my passions and interests but also something that brought me joy and fulfillment. The idea of “slaving away” at a job that didn’t resonate with me felt confining. Starting my own business has been about breaking free from that mold, taking risks on my own terms, and striving to achieve success as I define it.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

What sets me apart? It’s my commitment to delivering a photography experience like no other. I see my work as more than just capturing images, I’m about bringing visions to life, one click at a time. Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy. There were challenges along the way from mastering the technical skills to understanding the nuanced demands of the market. However, through perseverance, continuous learning, and an unwavering commitment to my craft, I have managed to rise above the challenges. The key lessons I’ve learned are to remain adaptable, always be open to feedback, and never compromise on the quality that defines my brand.
I am most proud of the community I’ve built around my brand, a community that values creativity, connection, and positivity. Each click of the camera is a step further in my journey to spread light and joy through exceptional photographic art.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting and I wanted to show them a great time, honestly, we’d keep it pretty laid back and casual. I’m just starting to explore more myself, so I’m all about feeling out different vibes rather than sticking to a strict itinerary. We might not hit up fancy restaurants I’m more of a McDonald’s, Snappers, Shake Shack, and Wendy’s kind of guy, so we’d definitely grab some grub from one of those places.
As for what we’d do, it’d be about chilling and seeing where the day takes us honestly. We might check out some parks or just drive around the city, vibing to music and catching up. Miami’s got a cool scene, so maybe we’d explore some of the street art in Wynwood or hit up a beach and chill or talk by the water. It’s all about spending quality time and soaking up the vibes.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many people I can shout out but I’ll keep it short. Big shoutout to my childhood friends who became family, always having my back. Shoutout to Mr. Brandon and Ms. KC for showing me the ropes of entrepreneurship and mentorship this year, they really played a huge role in kickstarting my photography business. Also, can’t forget to shout out Miami Carol City Senior High School for opening my eyes to new horizons and helping me find my passion in photography and just embracing creativity as a whole. Gotta show love to my peers at Tennessee State University too, they really treated me like family. And I can’t forget the people who’ve been with me on my photography journey like Mya Moneé, Pacesetter (Keino), Foreign Productions (Jason), and many more, thanks for all the support and inspiration! Huge shoutout to my family for being my drive and to God for setting me on this path to spread His light and vision around the world.
