Meet Joel Jorgensen | CEO Treestone Productions LLC

We had the good fortune of connecting with Joel Jorgensen and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Joel, how do you think about risk?
Everybody knows that being a musician on any level is risky business. I’ve spent the better part of 25 years in the music industry and I would be lying if I said it was easy. I’ve had some amazing experiences while touring writing songs but have also had to sacrifice many many times. I’ve had to re-create myself to stay relevant and continually educate and even move to another state. Nothing worthwhile is easy, and when it comes to the music industry, it’s all uphill. You just have to love the journey and continually turn around and see how far you’ve come.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I love to create music. It’s all I’ve ever wanted to do. It’s what drives me day and day. Before I started producing, I had three separate record deals and tour of the United States. Played 20,000 seats shows met countless people and made lifelong friends. Now, as a record producer, get to pour all my creativity into younger artists I get to help guide them hone their skills teach them how to release their music and cheer them on to the next level of their career.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d say first and foremost. If you wanna hear the best original music in town go to The local ask for Geoff he’s the owner. They have amazing food there and live music almost the entire day into the late evenings it’s where all the songwriters hang out and you’ll usually get to meet, a famous artist or two as well. Also, recommend going to the other side of the river to the Opryland area and go to the palace. One of the few places left in Nashville that still have original country music in line dancing. Be sure to check out a show at the Ryman , if you get time and have the means to check out the surrounding area, go see some waterfalls.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost the Lord. He is my boss my guide, and continues to bless me on this journey. My loving family for always having my back and pushing me to better my self.
One lesson, it took me a while to learn, is that you can’t survive and grow in the music industry by yourself. It takes a community everybody working together everybody rising together. I made a lot of friends here in Nashville Tennessee. All are musicians or are part of the industry on some level. I’m grateful for all the people that I get the opportunity to produce and write songs with, for all the folks that put on writers rounds around town and for the locations that support original music.
NSAI Nashville Songwriter Association International has been amazing for me and Specifically Jill Moody.
Terri Jo Box : Multi hit Songwriter and singer. Also owns and operates The Music Row Freak Show ( Songwriter Rounds)
My crew of hit songwriters I get to write with regularly : Jami Grooms, Alex Dooley, Noah G
