Meet Jennifer Mlott | Recording Artist / Singer-Songwriter / Entertainer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Mlott and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jennifer, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
My favorite quote is “Be Fearless in the pursuit of what sets you soul on fire”.
This quote means a lot of me because it’s telling you to be strong and have the courage to get out of your own way. It’s so easy to stay in one place and be comfortable, but it’s another to push the boundaries of your comfort zone and just really go for your dreams . Life begins at the end of your comfort zone . Do what makes your soul happy and use the gifts that God gave you.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My music is known to be eclectic. Although Im more known for modern country I love venturing out in different sub-genres , and I feel like that’s one of the things that makes my music unique. I’m very excited for my newest single release “You’re My Everything” which is coming out October 23rd. I think the music industry isn’t a race but a marathon . You have to keep moving forward and trying to push out of your comfort zone. As an artist you should try to just be your genuine self. I just hope that my music serves as an outlet to those who need healing . I hope my music can bring joy to others and help people in their times of need.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Indianapolis is known for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway . I would love to take a friend to an event there, or downtown to the Indianapolis Zoo. There is a lot of great spots for live music . I would like to take them to a show to support a fellow artist too . Venues such as Pudder’s in Shelbyville, Taylor’s Bar and Table in Pendleton or Spencer Farm Winery in Noblesville, IN. I would love to go shopping , as well as visit Sam Ash Music Center to check out the newest music equipment and stock up on the must haves .During the Holidays I would love to take a friend to the Conner Prairie Light Show, or the Carmel Christkindlmarkt for ice skating and wonderful German treats !
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a huge shoutout to my mom and dad for being the best parents a daughter could ever ask for. I have the most incredibly supportive parents who help guide me and help me follow my dreams. I know I’m very lucky to have such a wonderful support system. I also want to thank my promoter Ron Campbell for believing in me and my music from the very first step. I don’t know where I would be without him! I want to thank my family , friends and fans for supporting me and helping me build a wonderful foundation for my music journey. I want to thank Tamanie Dove for guiding me through the music industry and teaching me the ropes in the music business. Thank you to my record label MC1 Nashville and Darlene Fowler for giving me such wonderful opportunities to share my music to the world. Thank you so much to all of the radio stations that have given me the chance to show the world my music. And above all as a Christian woman , I want to thank Jesus Christ and God my Savior .
