Meet Jeff Green | Owner of Green Thoughts

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeff Green and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jeff, what do you attribute your success to?
Most important factor to our success is the method we use. We’ve been in business over 13 years, and we have found that our DDTC Growth Method works great for businesses of almost any size.
The method starts with defining the target audience this is a step a lot of business owners skip at least integrating it on them. Our first step is to work with you to make that happen.
Once that is identified we design the website based on the information gleaned from that target audience and ideal client. This makes it where your ideal client feels known and understood when they reach the site.
The next step in the Growth Method is obtaining traffic. Or the T in the DDTC method. Website is meaningless without traffic it’s like a radio station without a tower to broadcast. You can have the most beautiful, optimized website there is but without a method to get traffic it’s useless.
Finally, we work on converting that traffic into qualified leads and sales. Another under-utilized step is conversion rate optimization which basically increases the rate at which people take a desired action on your site.
Numerous times we have found that this method works for better than other methods we’ve tried in the past and we’ve been sticking with it for years because it gets results.
In the broader sense I think we’ve been successful because we care about our clients, and we focus on their needs.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Think I’m most proud of the fact that we actually come alongside businesses and help them to grow and achieve whatever it is that’s exciting to them and their heart.
I started this business when I was moonlighting as a financial analyst with a large Fortune 500 company. I wanted to do something that was more creative than data analysis although that is in itself a form of creativity.
We still use a lot of data analysis in the way we approach marketing especially when it comes to you optimizing pages and increasing conversion rates.
I think one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned along the way is to relax and take it one day at a time. Don’t let life pass you by too quickly always trying to chase that carrot.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’re based in quite a few cities in Tennessee. We serve nashville, Chattanooga, Knoxville, cleveland, and Murfreesboro just to name a few.
Believe it or not my favorite City when it comes to food is Chattanooga. If you just crave a burger try the Tremont or Urban stack. If you’re looking for fun dining meeting place or the flying squirrel.
Nashville has a lot of the finer things I really enjoy heading there with my son who is a classical violinist. We go to the symphony and usually visit a place called Etch which is an incredible restaurant with a female chef that is one of the tops in the nation.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’ve had several mentors over the years in the marketing world from Colin Scotland, Brandon Northwick, and The Modern Marketing System dot com. each taught me something a little different along the way.
I mean obviously my parents played a large role in my development I think that’s true for all of them. Both of my parents were very creative my mom was an artist about trade and my father was a writer. My brother is a musician and artist with a thriving online business. So I was always surrounded by creativity.
My grandfather was a very successful businessman and my grandmother on my mom’s side of the family was the social worker which is also added to my passion for social causes.
