We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaylon Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaylon, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’ve always been deeply passionate about music and its ability to bring people together. As a DJ, I saw an opportunity to not just play music but curate experiences and create unforgettable moments for people. I wanted to channel my love for music into something tangible, something that could resonate with others and make events truly special. Starting my own DJ business was a natural progression—an avenue for me to share my passion, express my creativity, and offer top-notch entertainment to diverse audiences.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
“My art as a DJ is an intricate blend of mixing different genres/songs to help foster and create immersive experiences. What sets me apart is not just the music I play, but the way I curate experiences, creating a seamless mix and blend of songs that resonate with diverse audiences. I’m incredibly proud of working with Hot 107.1 FM radio, performing at notable events within the city, as well as building strong relationships with like-minded individuals.

Getting to where I am today professionally has been a journey filled with challenges and learning opportunities. It wasn’t easy, but every obstacle became a chance to grow. The key lesson I’ve learned is the power of resilience and adaptability—being able to pivot, evolve, and stay true to my passion in a constantly changing industry.

My brand stands for not just entertainment, but for crafting unforgettable moments that linger in people’s memories. I want the world to know that behind the decks, there’s a dedication to creating immersive experiences that transcend mere music. My story is about passion, perseverance, and the belief that music has the power to unite and elevate moments.”

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m involved and have residencies at some of the most amazing spots in the city of Memphis. I would recommend checking out Serv Restaurant and Bar for a vibe solely curated for the mature adult crowd. The food and music are top-tier! Check me out every Friday for ReServ Fridays at Serv. Another location I would recommend would be inLove Memphis Lounge and Nightclub. inLove has been a staple of the city for over 20+ years that caters to many needs. Whether it’s brunch, happy hour, live music, celebrity guests, or holiday events inLove Memphis never misses! If live music, poetry, spoken word, comedy, and open mic performances are something you enjoy, I would 100% recommend Art Unplugged Memphis for one of the dopest show platforms in Memphis. Also, a major shout out to Tatt Stars for all my people who are a part of the tattoo community in Memphis. They host a multitude of events geared toward the tattoo culture that provides something different and refreshing than the usual nightlife scene.

Memphis is also known best for its chicken wings, BBQ, Grizzlies NBA basketball and so much more, I would recommend checking out and following @Unapologeticallymemphis & @choose901 for the best guides, food recommendations, attractions, and more.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
“First, I would like to give honor to God who is the head of my life. I’d like to extend a heartfelt shoutout to Metrio Robinson, also known as DJ Truck, whose guidance and expertise have been invaluable on my DJ journey. Their insights and encouragement have been instrumental in shaping my business approach and refining my DJ skills. Additionally, I am greatly grateful to the incredible team of fellow DJs and industry professionals I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with. Their camaraderie and shared passion for music have been an endless source of inspiration.”
