We had the good fortune of connecting with Jay Chong Yen Jye and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jay Chong, what matters most to you?
The principle I hold dearest is to always focus on excellence and give 300% effort. In my journey, I’ve learned that success doesn’t come from simply completing tasks but from exceeding expectations. Striving for excellence in every endeavor ensures continuous growth, development, and the creation of lasting value. This mindset pushes me to go beyond the ordinary, achieving outcomes that stand the test of time.

What should our readers know about your business?
My brand – Jagole, focuses on providing robust infrastructure solutions such as web hosting, VPS hosting, and automation tools tailored for agencies. What sets us apart is our commitment to customer-centricity and excellence. We don’t just offer technical solutions; we empower our clients to scale and grow by providing seamless, reliable infrastructure designed for their unique needs.

One of the aspects I’m most proud of is the community we’ve built—our clients view us as partners rather than just service providers. Getting here wasn’t easy. The web hosting industry is highly competitive, and we had to differentiate ourselves not just by the services we offer, but by how we deliver them—always giving 300% to exceed expectations.

Challenges came in many forms—intense competition, technical hurdles, and the ever-evolving digital landscape. Overcoming these required adaptability, resilience, and the ability to foresee potential failures and address them proactively. A key lesson I’ve learned is the importance of understanding the “why” behind your brand and building that trust with clients.

I want the world to know that Jagole is more than just a martech solution provider; we’re a brand driven by innovation, client success, and a passion for excellence.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting Rome, I’d plan a week full of history, culture, and food. We’d start at the Colosseum to marvel at ancient Roman architecture, followed by a stroll through the Roman Forum. Day two would be dedicated to the Vatican—visiting St. Peter’s Basilica and the awe-inspiring Sistine Chapel.

For a slower pace, we’d spend the next day exploring the charming Trastevere neighborhood, with its cobblestone streets and vibrant cafés. Dinner at a local trattoria for authentic pasta, followed by drinks in Campo de’ Fiori, would end the night perfectly.

We’d visit the Pantheon and the Spanish Steps, and for a fun afternoon, take a Vespa tour around the city. A day trip to Villa Borghese for a picnic and a visit to the Borghese Gallery would offer a touch of art and relaxation.

No trip to Rome is complete without indulging in gelato from Giolitti, and we’d dine at local favorites like Pizzeria da Baffetto and Ristorante da Enzo. For the grand finale, we’d toss a coin in the Trevi Fountain, ensuring a return to this magical city.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a special shoutout to a few key influences in my journey. First, MDEC, for organizing the Malaysia IHL Business Plan competition, where I had the honor of becoming the national champion, representing Multimedia University (MMU). This experience was a pivotal moment in my early entrepreneurial development. I’m also deeply grateful to Microsoft for organizing the Imaginecup and sponsoring the Speed Typing Contest, which allowed me to shine and mark my involvement in World Typing Day. Beyond these professional milestones, my deepest thanks go to my family, who have been a constant source of support, and my friends, who have always been there to lend a hand when I needed it most. Their belief in me has been instrumental in helping me reach where I am today.
