Hi Jae, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
When faced with the crossroads of whether to keep going or to give up, I reflect back on my own journey. I remember the early days of launching J. Nicole Solutions in 2017, the hustle, the initial excitement, and then the tough reality that hit in 2019 leading to a burnout so severe I shut everything down. What guided me through was not just a matter of perseverance, but a deep, introspective understanding of my ‘why’.

In my case, the decision to keep going came from a transformative period of self-discovery, therapy, and embracing my authentic self. I realized my passion for empowering entrepreneurs through branding was still alive; it was the approach that needed to change. The critical turning point for me was deciding to stop trying to control every aspect and instead, letting God lead. This shift allowed His will to unfold in my life and my business, transforming my path in ways I hadn’t imagined.

So, the real question isn’t just whether to keep going or give up. It’s about assessing if your path aligns with the purpose God has for you. When you’re at a crossroads, let His purpose be your compass. It’s about yielding to His way of doing things, and in that surrender, you find the strength and direction to move forward. It’s not giving up; it’s realigning with a higher calling and letting that guide your decisions and actions.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
At the heart of my business is a commitment to authenticity and excellence. As Coach Jae Nicole, I’ve built a brand grounded in being true to myself and delivering top-tier services. I don’t just talk the talk; I walk the walk, bringing genuine Jae Nicole energy to everything I do. My approach is not about emulating others in the marketplace; it’s about staying in my lane, showing up for my audience with excellence, and ensuring that every client experience is free from the typical ‘horror stories’ associated with service providers. One thing that sets me apart distinctly is the grace and favor God has blessed me with in creativity, particularly in branding and brand development. My ability to transform complex branding concepts into clear, creative, and effective strategies consistently receives accolades from clients.

My journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s been incredibly rewarding. The blend of prayer, strategy, and implementation has been crucial. Keeping my business grounded in prayer, actively seeking God’s strategy, and diligently implementing these plans has been key. Overcoming challenges, especially when motivation wanes, has been possible through my faith and the support of an amazing community who uplifts and sustains me through tough times. The key lessons that have shaped my journey are: always keep God as the foundation, understand that success requires work and dedication, recognize that branding is a continuous journey, not a destination, and continually invest in learning, growing, and evolving.

More than anything, I want the world to know my love for God and how it drives everything I do. My mission is to walk in my calling and purpose, and in doing so, help others to do the same in the realm of branding. It’s about combining spiritual purpose with professional passion.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Get ready to embark on an unforgettable journey with me right in the heart of my vibrant city of Little Rock, AR. We’ll start in the River Market District! This is where the magic happens, where culture, cuisine, and good vibes come together. First up, we’re diving into some authentic Southern soul food at The Flying Fish. Y’all, their southern fried fish is the real deal – crispy, flavorful, and just plain delicious. It’s the perfect kick-off to our adventure.

Then, we’ll wander through the Local Farmers Market. Prepare your senses for an explosion of colors, scents, and flavors! We’re talking fresh veggies, homemade baked goods, and those unique canned treats you can’t find just anywhere. One night we’ll head to the Rev Room. This place is a local gem for live music. Feel the city’s heartbeat as we groove to tunes that’ll have us tapping our feet and singing out loud. But wait, there’s more! We’re hitting Top Golf next. Imagine laughter, fun, and a sprinkle of friendly competition – it’s the perfect recipe for creating memories.

Now, let’s talk food again (because y’all know I love to eat!). We’re hitting up Samantha’s Tap Room & Wood Grill for their Chopped Salmon Salad and Lambchops. Honey, these flavors will have you talking about them for days! And you can’t roll with me without trying Tacos de birria Mary’s. These birria tacos? Absolute game-changers. They’re a Little Rock must-try.

For a wind down day, we’ll chill out at City Silo Table + Pantry. Their El Goodo Bowl is more than a meal; it’s a vibe, an experience. And to cap it all off, I’d love to take you to my local church for a service. It’s an experience that uplifts and recharges the spirit.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
When I reflect on my journey and the successes I’ve achieved, there’s one standout individual who deserves a monumental shoutout – my coach and sister in spirit, the incredible Coach Jas, aka MY JAS. She’s been a beacon of guidance, support, and unwavering faith in my business journey.

From the very start, Coach Jas has been there for many of my ‘firsts’ in business. It’s under her leadership at The Greater Me Consulting that I earned my coaching certification. I affectionately call her my ‘PURPOSE PUSHER’ because that’s exactly what she is. She’s not just prayed for me; she’s persistently nudged me toward my purpose, often seeing in me what I hadn’t yet seen in myself.

March of 2022 marked a pivotal moment in my life when I completed my life coaching certification under Coach Jas. Since then, the milestones have kept coming – from my first paid in-person speaking engagement in September 2022 to my first magazine interview in November of the same year, and then three more by June 2023. Since that time, I’ve been certified as a Master Life Coach and joined her team at The Greater Me Consulting certifying other life coaches.

Coach Jas is nothing short of THE TRUTH. Her program and personal coaching have provided me with the structure and strategy to consistently win in my business endeavors.
