Meet Hunter Salvatore | Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Hunter Salvatore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hunter, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I started singing and dancing for my parents and family when I was 4 years old. One of the biggest reasons I’m interested in the arts is my parents. However, Michael Jackson is the other person who, aside from my parents, truly motivated me to take the risk. I wanted to be on stage after watching him perform.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Hunter Salvatore is my name, and I am a human being with incredible abilities and capabilities.
I started singing and dancing for my parents and family when I was 4 years old. One of the biggest reasons I’m interested in the arts is my parents. However, Michael Jackson is the other person who, aside from my parents, truly motivated me to take the risk. I wanted to be on stage after watching him perform.

My mother took me to an Apollo Theater audition when I was nine years old. I was terrified at first since I was used to performing in my living room, but then I remembered that Michael Jackson had done it.

And now here we are. I’m a performer who also plays music. I am different from other people because I have a very strong connection to my emotions, which I incorporate into my art to tell stories. Sadly, but thankfully, I can make my greatest art when I’m in an emotional state of mind, which is typically when I’m depressed, anxious, worried, etc. However, there are also excellent times when I can create from a happy place:)

The fact that I can honestly state that I never gave up even when doors closed on me makes me the most proud of myself. I’ve always tried my hardest to achieve success. I’m really happy that I developed my own movement dancing style, Lyrical R&B.
To sum up Lyrical R&B, I would say it’s intricate, detailed, patterned, sensual, tells a story, and most importantly, feels. I perform largely R&B music because I relate to it more than hip hop, even though I have strong hip hop roots. Since r&b is therapeutic and has really benefited me, I wish to offer it to others anytime they see me.

I am not a professional dancer at this time. and that is one of the challenges I face in the dancing world. Yes, I have my own dance team and style, but I don’t have the resources that most dancers do. Whether it’s performing in a commercial print or dancing behind your favorite musician. When my profession is not financially rewarding, it is difficult for me to support it.
You may be asking how I get money, and the answer is that I teach dance classes and do train performances.
My earnings come from there, and I rely on it to support myself, but it’s still insufficient to enable me to pursue my goals of becoming an artist. but discovered that you have to persevere. You persist since this fuels your imagination and satisfies your desire for your goals.

Oh, the music now. I adore it utterly. I’m free to express myself however and anything I desire. I have the opportunity to fully express myself as an artist. I enjoy both music and exercise equally, but I feel that my music allows me more flexibility. My music is sincere and integrates spirituality, love, consciousness, and the normal interpersonal relationships that all people experience. I completed my music EP this year, A R C H I V E, and I’m so happy of it because it will have such a wonderful impact on the world. I wish to contribute to the health benefits of solfeggio frequencies, which are present in my music.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m able to live rather basic and enjoy the small things in life.
To be honest, I am more of a “let’s go to the park” kind of person.
However, the FDR Pier in New York City is one of my favorite spots to visit.
