We had the good fortune of connecting with Frank Pascarella and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Frank, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I pursued an artistic and creative career because of a deep-seated love for music that began in my childhood. From a young age, I was captivated by the sounds and performances of bands and artists like Motley Crue, NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, Linkin Park, and Fall Out Boy. However, it was Elvis Presley who truly ignited my passion. Watching his old live performances, I felt an undeniable connection and a burning desire to be a singer and performer.

Elvis’s charisma and ability to captivate audiences made a profound impact on me. I knew then that I wanted to follow in his footsteps and create something meaningful through music. Over time, my influences have expanded, but the core reason for my pursuit remains the same: to express myself openly, honestly, and authentically.

Music is a universal language that allows us to share our thoughts and emotions vulnerably. Through my career, I aim to make a genuine connection with my audience. I want to impact someone who resonates with my work, just as my musical heroes impacted me. Pursuing an artistic career is about more than fame or success; it’s about reaching out to others, sharing a piece of my soul, and hopefully, making a difference in their lives.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Defining the Vertigo Child Sound

As Vertigo Child, I strive to create a musical experience that defies conventional boundaries, blending alternative pop and rock with a myriad of other influences. My music is a tapestry of diverse sounds and styles, aiming to be cohesively unique. I thrive on pushing genre limits, ensuring each track stands out while still being part of a unified whole. This commitment to being “cohesively weird” sets my music apart, giving listeners something fresh and unexpected.

The Pride and Excitement Behind “Love Isn’t Blind”

My latest record, “Love Isn’t Blind,” represents the pinnacle of my artistic journey so far. It’s an album born from countless hours of dedication, creativity, and introspection. Each song is a piece of my heart, showcasing my most honest and vulnerable work to date. I’m incredibly proud of this record because it encapsulates not just my musical evolution, but also my personal growth. The themes and emotions explored in “Love Isn’t Blind” resonate deeply with my experiences and, I hope, with my listeners as well.

The Path to Today: A Story of Persistence and Passion

Getting to where I am today was far from easy. My journey has been marked by relentless hard work, perseverance, and a lot of trial and error. In the beginning, I faced numerous challenges—whether it was finding my unique sound, building an audience, or overcoming personal doubts. Each setback was a lesson in disguise, teaching me what works and what doesn’t, and pushing me to refine my craft continuously.

The music industry can be a tough place, filled with obstacles and rejections. However, every time I was knocked down, I made sure to get back up, stronger and more determined. This resilience is a core part of who I am as an artist and as a person. It’s this tenacity that has helped me overcome adversity and keep moving forward, no matter how tough the journey gets.

Lessons Learned Along the Way

1. **Authenticity is Key**: Staying true to yourself and your vision is crucial. It’s easy to get swayed by trends, but authenticity resonates more deeply with listeners.

2. **Resilience Builds Character**: Every setback is an opportunity to grow. Embrace the challenges and learn from them—they make you stronger and more adaptable.

3. **Connection Matters**: Building a genuine connection with your audience is invaluable. Your music should speak to their experiences and emotions, creating a bond that goes beyond just listening.

The Vertigo Child Brand and Story

What I want the world to know about Vertigo Child is that my music is a haven for anyone feeling lost, alone, or misunderstood. It’s a safe space where you can find solace, understanding, and connection. My journey is a testament to the power of perseverance and the belief that, no matter the struggle, you are not alone.

I’m not just a musician; I’m an advocate for those who feel unheard. Through my music, I aim to provide comfort and support. If you ever need someone to talk to, I’m here, not just as Vertigo Child, but as a fellow human being who understands the highs and lows of life.

In essence, Vertigo Child is more than a musical project—it’s a movement of empathy, resilience, and unwavering authenticity. Thank you for being a part of this journey with me.
