We had the good fortune of connecting with Felicia Jackson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Felicia, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting CPRWrap was deeply personal and rooted in a powerful life-changing experience. In 2002, I found myself in a situation where my own child was choking, despite having CPR training due to my work in a hospital. The overwhelming fear and the inability to recall my training left me feeling helpless, and it was my husband who stepped in to save our son.

This incident served as a catalyst for my determination to ensure that no one else would have to experience the paralyzing helplessness I felt that day. It was a moment of profound realization that the existing CPR training methods were often too complex, especially in high-stress situations. I knew there had to be a better way to empower ordinary people to perform CPR effectively.

So, the thought process was born out of a compelling need to simplify and demystify CPR, making it accessible to anyone, regardless of their medical background or financial status. CPRWrap was conceived as a tool that could provide clear, step-by-step guidance, instill confidence in lay rescuers, and ultimately save lives. My mission became clear: to empower individuals to take action in life-threatening situations and ensure that no one felt as helpless as I did that fateful day.

CPRWrap is more than a product; it’s a lifeline, a symbol of hope, and a testament to the power of innovation driven by personal experience and a commitment to making a difference in the world.

What should our readers know about your business?
CPRWrap is not just a business; it’s a mission, a symbol of empowerment, and a lifeline for saving lives. What sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to simplifying and democratizing CPR, making it accessible to anyone, regardless of their medical background or financial status. We take immense pride in our innovative approach to improving emergency response, and what excites us most is the potential to transform how the world perceives and performs CPR.

Our journey to where we are today has been far from easy, but it has been incredibly rewarding. I started with a simple idea – to create a clear and easy-to-use CPR template that could guide individuals through the life-saving process. While the concept was straightforward, the path to turning it into a reality was packed with challenges. As a Black, female entrepreneur I had to fight to secure the capital I needed to scale, navigate the intricacies of product development as a first-time inventor, and find our footing in a competitive, male-dominated market.

One of the key lessons we’ve learned is the importance of resilience. There were moments when it seemed as though the odds were stacked against us, but we refused to give up. We embraced each challenge as an opportunity to learn, adapt, and grow. Passion, Purpose, and Determination became our mantra, and it allowed us to overcome obstacles, build a strong network of supporters, and secure partnerships that have been instrumental in our journey.

Our brand and story are a testament to the power of my determination to make a difference. We want the world to know that CPRWrap is not just a product; it’s a symbol of hope and a tool that empowers individuals to take life-saving action. We’re on a mission to change the way the world responds to emergencies, and we invite everyone to join us in this lifesaving revolution. Our story is one of transformation, resilience, and a commitment to improving global cardiac arrest survival rates. It’s a story that emphasizes the importance of simplifying and demystifying emergency response, and we are excited to share it with the world as we work together to save lives.
