We had the good fortune of connecting with Erin Albright and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Erin, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I actually kind of fell into it. I had been donating signs and lettering classes for local charities. Then people wanted to buy the things I made!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Letters are my art! I think of letters as fonts with emotion. You can have a welcome sign with fun and flowy letters to set the tone for a party. My ability to draw letters in so many styles is what sets me apart. I can give my clients customized options to choose from.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Downtown and the Smokies! I love to just walk around downtown. There’s a lot to explore and many types of good food. Locals are friendly and inviting. I would also take them to the mountains for a hike and then grab a bite to eat at Elvira’s!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband. He has given advice, support, praise, comfort and then some. I could not have done this without him!
