We had the good fortune of connecting with Elizabeta Vidovic and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elizabeta, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
My unique set of skills were shaped by my extensive background in acting, producing, writing, directing and running a production company where I’ve produced and developed over a dozen projects. This has given me insider information into the ins and outs of the film industry that I pass onto my students. My goal is to help them be the best that they can be by teaching them how to draw inspiration from their own unique personality and life experiences. This way, they can exit my class and go on to leave lasting impressions with industry professionals, improve their booking ratios and overall, have a long and satisfying career.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I started coaching in Los Angeles over a decade ago, but the production of my second feature film put that on hold. (In addition to coaching actors, I am also a filmmaker.) After moving to Nashville, I was excited to reignite the coaching spark and see where it took me. Less than two years of running the business, we now have two full classes! I believe that one of the reasons we’ve grown in such a short period of time is because we’ve created a uniquely comfortable space for actors where they can learn the craft of acting and the business of acting, as well as the art of auditioning. In order to be a successful actor, one must learn both show and business – and we proudly offer that.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I will begin by saying that I am fairly new to Nashville, having lived here less than three years, I am still discovering a lot of the city myself! So far, I’ve found that it offers a whole lot of the three things I love most… fantastic music, scrumptious food, and great coffee!

If I were taking someone on a “tour,” I would start at a favorite coffee shop, like Frothy Monkey or Ugly Mugs Coffee, where I regularly get my coffee fill before teaching classes twice a week. Then, I’d either have to take them to my favorite lunch spot, Bar Taco, or one of my favorite restaurants for dinner, Pelican and Pig. My husband is also a whiskey enthusiast, so we were introduced to the fabulous Red Phone Booth.

For music, I’ve learned that you can’t go wrong! There’s an unlimited number of songwriters’ rounds with ridiculously amazing talent all around the city!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Kathryn Michelle has been my creative partner for over two decades, so it was logical to ask her to join our Plan A(cting) team. We’ve produced, written and directed multiple projects together and developed several more that are currently in various stages of development. Kathryn played a crucial role in building Plan A(cting) into what it is now. Her knowledge of many areas of the entertainment industry was certainly a helpful asset.
