We had the good fortune of connecting with Edible Ed and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Edible, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Setting up a routine and not procrastinating. When you have a routine, your muscle memory kicks in and you go about your day, accomplishing your daily tasks. When there’s a task that needs to be completed, finish it so you have more time for something else. The feeling of completing a task, no matter how big or small is one of the best feelings ever.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
We are all artists. It’s unfortunate that when most people think of art, the first thing that pops into their head is painting or drawing and they feel that they aren’t artistic. But we are all artists. Everything we make or craft or bring into this world is art. Some times we forget or incorrectly label our work but we are all artists.

My art has brought me here and has saved my Life. At a young age, I realized how powerful art was. It’s a means of expression, and growing and showing love. Whether my art was on a page or plate or pitch, I saw how it affected those around me. That’s powerful. But with great power comes great responsibility and I take my role seriously.

I hope that how ever you consume my art, it makes you feel something. I hope it makes you think and helps you to put things into perspective because at the end of the day, we’re just specks on a floating rock hurdling through space. My mission is to help you take a moment out of your incrEDibly busy day to stop and look around and to appreciate the world around you.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’d invite them to my cooking classes at the Children’s Museum of Phoenix, my home away from home. Then I’d take my friends to all my favorite local restaurants and introduce them to different styles of cuisine. But the best part of hanging out? We’d cook and film upcoming episodes of Edible Ed’s, testing new, crazy recipe ideas! I mean, who wouldn’t love to do that!?

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Chef Ryan Moreno. Ryan makes my all time favorite pizza ever. I started going to his local pizza shop and we quickly became friends. I feel like I’ve known Ryan for a lot longer than we actually do know each other but that’s the sign of a solid friend. He has introduced me to other incrEDible Chefs and even cooler people and I am forever grateful. Thank you Ryan for being a rad dude. Your friendship is appreciated.
