Meet Dr. Paulette Harper | Book Collaboration Specialist, Certified Mental Health Coach,Speaker & Keynote Presenter, Minister

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Paulette Harper and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Paulette, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
“Your Purpose is Greater Than Your Pain” — A Personal Reflection Inspired by Dr. Myles Munroe
One quote that has shaped my perspective during life’s most difficult seasons is from Dr. Myles Munroe:
“The wealthiest place in the world is not the oil fields of the Middle East or the gold mines of South America. It is the cemetery, because there lie the dreams that were never fulfilled, the books never written, the purpose never realized.”
That truth has stirred something in me for years. It’s a reminder that what’s inside of me—and inside of you—is far too valuable to die unfulfilled, no matter the pain we’ve endured.
There have been seasons in my life where pain nearly silenced my purpose. Divorce, emotional trauma, and deep valleys of depression tried to crush the very essence of who I am. But what I’ve learned is that hard times are not roadblocks—they are redirections. If we allow them, they can push us closer to our divine assignment.
I’ve discovered that my most defining moments didn’t come when life was smooth, but in the middle of the storm—when I chose to stand, to heal, and to rise again. Each challenge became a doorway, not to defeat, but to destiny.
What’s vital is how we see the hard times. When we change the narrative, we change the outcome. I’m living proof that even when life feels like it’s breaking you, God is building something far greater beneath the surface.
What should our readers know about your business?
My business is rooted in faith, purpose, and transformation. As a 19-time bestselling author, certified mental health coach, and founder of BuildHer Kingdom Women, I help faith-driven women heal, find their voice, and step boldly into authorship, entrepreneurship, and legacy-building. Through publishing coaching, retreats, collaborative book projects, and spiritual gatherings, I create sacred spaces for women to rise—personally, spiritually, and professionally.
What sets me apart is my ability to merge ministry and marketplace with authenticity. I’ve walked through deep valleys—emotional trauma, divorce, depression—and by God’s grace, came out not just healed, but positioned to help others do the same. My brand is not built on theory—it’s built on lived experiences, divine encounters, and a calling to build and empower others.
Getting to where I am today was far from easy. There were seasons of brokenness, financial struggle, and moments where I questioned if I had anything left to give. But I leaned into my faith. I learned to get back up—again and again. I’ve learned that purpose is often birthed in pain, and obedience opens doors that hustle never could.
What I’m most proud of is the impact. I’ve coached hundreds of women to write and publish their first books, curated bestselling anthologies, and led women into divine encounters at retreats that have changed their lives. I’m excited about continuing to build a global movement of healed, whole, faith-filled women who know they are called for more.
If there’s one thing I want the world to know about my story—it’s this: I am living proof that God can take the broken pieces of your life and create something beautiful. BuildHer isn’t just a brand—it’s a divine mandate to birth purpose, rebuild identity, establish legacy, and empower women to rise.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend came to visit, we’d escape to Napa for a week of faith, fun, and unforgettable moments. We’d stay at a beautiful vineyard resort, unwind at Spa Terra, and enjoy sunset dinners at places like Auberge du Soleil. Our days would be filled with wine tastings (yes, non-alcoholic too!), boutique shopping, and breathtaking views from a hot air balloon.
We’d have quiet mornings with prayer and journaling by the pool, enjoy delicious meals at Oxbow Public Market and Grace’s Table, and even take a day trip to Sausalito for coastal scenery and seafood. It would be a perfect mix of pampering, sisterhood, creativity, and rest—the kind of experience that refreshes your soul and inspires your purpose.
We’d close the trip with a faith-filled brunch at Grace’s Table, sharing testimonies, prayers, and laughter. Then a final stop at Napa Valley Olive Oil Company for unique gifts before heading home.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’m deeply grateful for the coaches who have shaped my journey—personally and professionally.
Their wisdom, support, and ability to draw out the hidden gifts in me have been life-changing. They challenged me to rise, lead, and build with boldness and purpose.
And because of what they’ve poured into me, I’ve had the honor of pouring into others—empowering women to heal, write their stories, publish their books, and walk confidently in their calling. The impact is generational, and I don’t take that lightly.
To those who’ve mentored me—and to those whose lives I’ve had the privilege of touching—thank you for being part of this divine journey.
