We had the good fortune of connecting with Dasha K and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dasha, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
In early 2018, Ari Candles began from a desire to create not just a candle but something that will purify and benefit the atmosphere and air quality of your home. This desire came after burning a candle that was gifted to us and seeing black residue in our kids noses after burning the candle. That’s when we said “Never Again!” and began working on creating a candle that would not only be pleasant to burn but beneficial.

The single most important decision I made that contributed to the success of the company was to be unique. Our own design, style, ingredients. We didn’t look around and try to copy somebody, but we wanted to create something that was truly unique and will set us apart. When things got hard, sales were slow, growth was slow it was very important to remember not to give up .Keep going, there’s no going back, only move forward !

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
We create 100% pure beeswax candles with aromatherapy essential oils and hemp wicks. Our candles Are unique because of our ingredients: we only use beeswax from beepers around the USA. We scent our candles using pure aromatherapy essential oils and we use organic hemp wicks. We are excited about our candles because we know these are clean, natural, and non toxic candles that we feel 100% comfortable burning in our home.
It was definitely not easy, at the time when we just started considering the idea of selling our candles we had two little kids and this required a very early start of the day to work and then to be a mommy and wife to our family.

We want to give all the glory and praise to our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our company bible verse is Romans 5:8 “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My beloved husband. He was a huge encouragement and help along the way.
