Meet Daniel Craig | Co-Founder and Executive Director

We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniel Craig and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Daniel, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind our success is our Community. We place ourselves in the community with our people to see and hear firsthand the wants and needs of our community. I personally started from the bottom and it gives me joy and drive to be in a position where I can give back and help others who are also starting from the bottom. There is no job too small or big for us to handle. We take pride in knowing that we are making a difference in our community and in return our community trusts us to make things happen for them.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am excited because one of our favorite seasons has arrived (The Giving Season). We have been giving away turkeys for the past 7 years. We have fed over 600 families during this season. Each family is fed with Turkeys and canned goods. We are looking to service more families this year and with the help of our volunteers and sponsors, we believe that each year this initiative will continue to grow with the needs of the community. A special Thank you to our sponsors Baskin Robbins, Sams Club, Jumbled Dreams, Starbucks, State Farm, Panera Bread, Target, Ross, Van Leer, Krispy Kreme, Publix, Kroger, Walmart, Costco, and Bank of America.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When we aren’t volunteering with Bridge Builders I like to take my close friends Fishing out on Percy Priest Lake. To celebrate a successful fishing trip we would then enjoy Camacho cigars and a glass of Dusse. I love sneakers, so we have to go to the Nike stores. Afterward, I would take them to Jeff Ruby’s for my favorite steak in the city and finish off the night back at home with family for a good ole movie night.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give a shoutout to Points of Light who took the time to recognize us and sent me to London for the coronation of King Charles III. In London, I was able to connect with other individuals who are also making a difference in their communities through volunteering and together we lead an initiative to further strengthen our Global connections through volunteerism and civic engagement. A special “Thank You” to Beth, Brenda, and Diane for the experience and their wonderful hospitality. I would also like to say “Thank You” to Max and Hollis who worked alongside me in London. I wish everyone the best and I know that together we can change the world.
