We had the good fortune of connecting with Dania Christian and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dania, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
As a child, I grew up watching my parents successfully develop and maintain their business. This was motivation for me to start my own business! As I matured and started a family I realized at that age, family and quality bonding time was important for me as well.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a freelance fashion designer and creative director! I specialize in bespoke formal wear and also alterations. I have been in the fashion industry for 17 years in which I started off designing special occasion garments on a smaller scale. I expanded my services to bridal & formal wear in 2018 after I created my very own wedding gown! Prom season has grown to become my peak season! I love the creativity that these young ladies and guys have! They are always making sure that they set themselves apart from others.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
To begin especially having kids, we have to visit the Aquarium restaurant! What kid wouldn’t love this? Throughout the week we would explore a few museums, of course visit the Nashville zoo, and to end the day enjoy a night out on Broadway!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My dad has believed in every dream I’ve ever imagined since childhood! From enrolling in art school in high school, modeling, participating in pageants, and especially my journey as a fashion designer, my dad stood behind me 100%!

My husband and kids are amazing and undeniably supportive of my passion! The support they give is the reason I have been able to grow my brand and maintain my work/life balance.
