Hi Dakira, what role has risk played in your life or career?
For me, I believe risk is something people see as a potential for loss. I try to view it as a potential for success and growth. It is important to assess and manage risks to minimize potential negative outcomes. Risks are a daily part of my business, whether it’s putting myself out there to brand my business or accepting new opportunities with clients.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
One thing I’ve learned while being a creative is you have to always show up for yourself. From the Big accomplishments to the Small ones & really keep your eyes on the prize! & for me personally the prize is growth, establishing myself & becoming a better artist than I was yesterday. Its very challenging when you also have real life situations going on, but it’s all about balance.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
i would take my bestfriend to sevierville for the day.. the itinerary would consist of zip lining, Atv riding, “The diner” for food & Tanger outlets for some shopping!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to give a shout out to my boyfriend, because not only does he encourage me to keep going he’s also a helping hand at photo shoots, and with advice when I needed it. He keeps me grounded when things feel overwhelming & for that i am extremely grateful for him.
