Meet Courtney Ramsey & Kelly Goodman | Owner/Stylist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Courtney Ramsey & Kelly Goodman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Courtney Ramsey & Kelly Goodman, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
We wanted to have more freedom to work around our families and create a brand that more accurately represented the two of us, and also would help us spread goodness in the world.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are just 2 girls chasing a dream and trying to make the world more beautiful than we left it! This has been a big year for Salon Wildflower! We have recently just finished up construction on our expansion! We have added 4 additional chairs to our space and added a new relaxing shampoo room!
We have been so blessed by the support we have received personally and professionally. We started in 1 little room with 2 chairs, & 1 shampoo bowl. Our journey has honestly been amazing with little set back. We think we did a really good job of surrounding ourselves with wise council that has helped steer us in the right direction and help us make informed and smart decisions. It hasn’t been easy, and we have worked really hard to keep building and growing, but we are thankful. We think the biggest lesson we’ve learned so far, is we don’t see them as set backs; they’re simply opportunities for growth. That is what our brand is really all about. Growing, blooming in the middle of a storm, shining your brightest colors, etc.
When we decided to expand and add the potential for a team and training, Kelly & I’s main goal was to create a space where people have unlimited potential to create their best art and to dream as big as they can & all we want to do is support them on their journey. We worked really hard to create an aesthetically pleasing, functional space that also offered top of the line amenities.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Book a hotel room at the Oliver downtown & wake up and go to Ruby Sunshine for brunch. Then head to Wake Foot Spa, then book a facial and a massage and downtown smooth spa!
Dinner at The Brass Pearl, drinks at the hidden bar at the hotel and then a nice bath and bed!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We can’t thank our families, friends, and loyal guests for all of their support. We could not chase our dreams without you ❤️
