We had the good fortune of connecting with Clarence Robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Clarence, how do you think about risk?
In the beginning of my career I actually had the opportunity to speak with a famous Chef who I looked up to. I will keep him anonymous. I followed this guy and also reached out to him for advice. Eventually a month or two later he called me. I shared my vision with him of Cooking With Comedy and my resume. He was willing to assist me on my journey but he advised me to drop the Comedy. I mentioned that this was two things good for the human body and both my talents. We started disagreeing and I chose to chase my dreams rather than let someone discouraged me that already made it.

The risk in not accepting other’s opinion that’s established made me go even more harder. I hold this story close to my heart because some would never think I had this opportunity and other’s would have woke up and stopped dreaming. Now I’m living my dreams and it’s just beginning!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m grateful to be stuck in my own lane. Ever now and then in life, a person will try to find their way and get lost. Sometimes, we be traveling against the grain until our path is revealed to the point where you must let go of worldly things and gain your focus. I once Made the wrong decisions in life. But that got me to where I am today understanding my journey and gift then returning it to the world. I created Cooking With Comedy because it was in me. While working for other folks around my city I realized. someone was paying me for my gift and I was making someone else money with my passion.
Getting underpaid but over recognized I understood that math didn’t add up. If I wasn’t happy working for you but loved what I do I’d rather change my narrative. I must say God is good my gift florists and
I’m still wanting and chasing more accomplishments!
CWC came from my soul because the kitchen saved my life. CWC is a brand that I combined all the love I’ve received and lost I’ve taken. I put it all in a pot and brewed up a lifetime of flavors I’ll bring to the world’s table! I’m grateful I had the opportunity to be on Foodnetworks Cutthroat Kitchen Episode” I’m kind of a big dill ” session 15 Episode 4!
I’m the definition of not giving up. Chasing down your souls desires of becoming YOU throughout the challenges the world will provide and no matter the obstacles!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a shout out to my mom most definitely for being the woman that she is. Her dedication to my oldest brother and myself is heaven sent. From my upbringing to her prayers is a major part of my success. She also wrote a book about me called ” A mother’s cry he’s still my child”. Published. My aunt Areta and grandmother most definitely for installing the cooking ideas in my mind. Much love to Mr. Lake, Mr. Collington, and Mr. Mapp from JEC! Mr. Simmons & Mr. Thomas, Mrs. Twitty, my brother DeWayne  just to name a few. There is plenty more because it definitely took a village for me lol.
