Meet Christie Mckinney-evans | Certified Coach, Mentor, Speaker & Author

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christie Mckinney-evans and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christie, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process was and is to be available for women who have gone through divorce and single parenting. I found out that through my pain and misery I was still an encourager. My business was created to empower and uplift women who have experienced divorce and are navigating single parenting. I aim to provide support, resources, and encouragement to help them rebuild their lives, regain their confidence, and create a fulfilling future for themselves and their families.”
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My career began with studying and excelling in the craft of Customer Service, which I continue to study to implement in my personal and professional life assignments. I became an author which made me rebuild my Relationship with HIM (Jesus Chris). I was also given given the opportunity from my employer to enhance my career with recent scholarships from The Joseph Business School, Founder Dr. Bill Winston. I then was given a scholarship to Light University to receive Certification as a Christian Mental Health Coach for Adults and now due to complete Foundations of Youth & Mental Health by the end of 2024.
It has not been easy because I did not have full confidence in myself and the challenges of overcoming generational barriers. The lessons I have learned is, sometimes you have to be the blueprint to show others who story may look like yours.
As a once divorced woman, and navigating single parenting that finding small communities or groups who empower the whole woman that nothing is impossible. My brand is to continue to share my story and EmpowerHer, EquipHer, EducateHer, EncourageHer & Pray4Her. When this is done you can and will do the same for your husband and family.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Our first stop would be to visit The Civil Rights Museum, this will take all day.
Now, for the rest of the City…
1. The historical Beale Street,
2. Lunch at Rendezvous
3. Tour the Peabody Hotel, lots of pictures for memories
4. Walking down Main Street
5. Trolley Ride
6. Walk on The River because it is now a main attraction since the big remodel, it’s very inviting.
7. Memphis Zoo because its small and very family oriented
8. Hattie B’s Hot Chicken for lunch outside on the patio
9. Dinner at The Butcher Shop
10. Shopping at Tanger Outlet (all day)
11. Visit the beauty of Shelby Farms
12. Last but not least visit my Church in Marion, Ark., Dominion World
13. We would complete her visit by having dinner with my entire family at my sister’s house because she loves to entertain and cook for large crowds.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I give a shoutout to my husband and my children who daily encourage me to continue building the vision and establishing legacy for generations to come. To all of my coaches and spiritual advisors who have been apart of my journey when I thought life was over. They have coached me and given me tools and resources to keep pressing and never stop believing in my dreams and goals. My favorite book is The Holy Bible, because no matter what situation or season in life I am experiencing there is someone who has been through either the same situation or something similar.
