Meet Christi Lee Bowling | Private Practice and Consulting Registered Dietitian Nutritionist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christi Lee Bowling and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christi Lee, how do you think about risk?
I am by nature not a huge risk taker. When starting my own practice, I took a HUGE risk which was way out of my comfort zone. I knew I was being pulled back to live in the Nashville area, but the area tends to be saturated with dietitians. After applying to several positions and realizing no one wanted to hire out of state, I made the decision to start my own practice. I quit my job at the time, packed up and moved back to Nashville and set up shop. It was such an exciting time, but also so nerve wracking and anxiety producing to my non-risk taking self! I trusted where God was leading me and everything turned out better than I could hope for.
What should our readers know about your business?
I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with some medical conditions myself. I use these diagnoses to help my patients feel comforted that they are being helped by someone who is dealing with some of the same conditions they may be struggling with. I have treated myself a great deal through nutrition and supplements and try to educate my clients on the same lifestyle and mindset of “food as medicine”. I truly love getting to know each and every client, coming up with a personalized plan for them and enjoy seeing their improvement in mind, body and spirit!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
This is a tough one! I live in Franklin and love our downtown area. I’m a huge foodie, so I would probably recommend our steakhouse downtown (Cork and Cow) or our Italian spot (Culaccino). Afterwards maybe head down to Kimbros or the Skylight bar at the Factory for some music! I try to avoid Broadway like the plague, but if a friend comes to town that hasn’t experience that touristy side, we would head down there. Hopefully be able to catch a show at the Ryman and pop into Robert’s Western World. Always good people watching downtown! For the last day have a night brunch in town at maybe Snooze or Buttermilk Ranch and then head to a relaxing afternoon at Arrington Vineyards. Perfect weekend!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family and friends gave me so much encouragement and support during this time.
