Meet Chloe Caldwell | Stylist + Educator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chloe Caldwell and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chloe, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk taking has played a pivotal role in both my life and career. I think risk is something you will face many times, and how you choose to face it can make or break your success. Without jumping into the unknown and taking that leap of faith, you will never know what could’ve been. I love the quote from Marilyn Monroe that says “sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.” That speaks to me on so many levels. Risks I’ve taken in my career have been scary, and felt like I was losing a good thing. But without fail, better things always fell together.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’ve had my own business for about 4 years now, and while it has come with challenges, it is the best decision I could’ve made for my career. I feel that in the beauty industry, it can be hard to be set apart from other professionals/ businesses in the field. I think something that is unique to me is my laid back and accepting atmosphere. My clients come in on a friendship level, and feel completely comfortable. They don’t feel pressured to look a certain way or act a certain way while in my chair. My clients can wear pjs, bring their babies and sport 3 day old hair, and I will still welcome them as they are.
At this point in my career, I’m most excited for what’s to come. I would love to bring my concepts to life with a modern + fun environment that brings luxury haircare and education to my area.
Getting to where I am hasn’t been easy, but it has been so fun. Building a clientele can be hard work, but social media has been so helpful to me. I work hard on my craft and make sure to keep up with education to be ever growing, so social media is such a good place to showcase that, and has helped me grow my books quickly.
I’ve learned that challenges and hiccups are normal as a business owner, and to not let it derail your plan/path. Ive used my mentors advice and personal experience to learn the ropes and navigate my path as an entrepreneur.
I want the world to see that I’ve taken risks to get here. I want young girls to see that beauty school is not a way out, and can lead to more than you could’ve hoped and dreamed. I want other business owners to realize their worth, and know that they don’t have to do things that don’t feed their soul to be successful.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to dedicate this shoutout to my mentor, Macaylia Sutton. She has not only shown me immense love and support, but has taught me to understand my worth. I wouldn’t have the career I have today without her, and hope I can reach her level as a leader one day.
