Meet Chelsea Sullivan | Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chelsea Sullivan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chelsea, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
I love helping my clients creating special memories. Whether it’s honoring a loved one, a birth of a new baby, or someone marrying the love of their life…. Those moment make me happy.
Watching my clients come alive behind my camera and create happy memories with their people, those are the moments that make it all worth it.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Honestly, I’m not sure. It took me a long time to find my footing. I have always loved photography, but I never thought I could make it and sometimes I’m still not sure I will.
I’ve made a lot of mistakes, but I’ve learned a lot more lessons.
Never trust the weather. Always back your work up. Always be ready for your plans to change. Always have a backup pair of shoes.
Life changes on a dime and so does art. That’s what makes it fun. Photography, at least for me, is all about capturing the little moments that make up the big beautiful moments. It’s ever changing and always interesting.
I think the one thing people should know about my brand is that I believe every story deserves to be told in a beautiful and unique way. I love getting to be your storyteller.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oooh, this is fun!!
We are starting out morning with donuts from C&K donuts and a hot chocolate (I dont like coffee) from the Vanilla Bean Company!
We’ll go hike at Fall Creek Falls State Park! So many trails and beautiful views like Buzzards Roost, to choose from!
We’ll head back into town and get lunch at Collins River BBQ & Cafe where they have amazing barbecue!
There are tons of little to chips to choose from, like Red Door Boutique (my fave) and Lemon!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have an incredible support system… between my wonderful and loving husband, Alex and my family + friends, I couldn’t do it without them.
I have a few photography friends who’s re always in my corner. We constantly bounce ideas off of each other and give constructive criticism. It’s a fun little community we’ve built. Ashlee, especially. She deserves her own shout out.
There has never been a moment she’s turned me away. She is always down to hype me up or help me out. She’s always supportive and giving me such a clear perspective. It’s refreshing.
