Meet Catchfire | Band

We had the good fortune of connecting with Catchfire and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Catchfire, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
Our end goal is to bring people together through our music. By the “end” of our career, we hope that we have brought together every person we could find on this planet who loves our music and wants to be a part of something great. And we hope that our music will continue to live on long after we are gone and further that mission for generations to come.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
We are proud of our songwriting from the start and we get excited about producing and performing those songs. We truly believe that we have been and continue to be successful in writing powerful instrumentation and vocals that speak to people both melodically and lyrically. We work hard to write as many different types of songs as we can, all while keeping this rockin’ vocal and instrumental foundation intact. We hope that there will be something for everyone, which will contribute to our mission of bringing people together. And while it has been a long path so far, it is one we are proud to walk and will continue to do so.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Lots of great places, history, and people here in Nashville. To start off, breakfast at Ruby Sunshine or Loveless Cafe is always a fantastic time. You can visit Leiper’s Fork for lunch, and some great whiskey and beautiful nature views at the distillery. Then coming back into town you can check out some awesome historical sites such as The Ryman, Country Music Hall of Fame, Johnny Cash Museum, and Musicians Hall of Fame. For dinner, there are about a million places to choose from, but a couple great options are Burger Republic or The Pub in The Gulch, and then The Thompson rooftop bar if you want a good party and some great drinks. And a nice way to finish off the night is to take a walk on the pedestrian bridge over the river downtown for a great view of the city lights.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There is definitely a long list of people that we would love to show our appreciation for. Some of the most notable to start off would be our parents, who have been so supportive and helpful along the way when it comes to pursuing our passion for music, performing, and bringing people together. There is also the influence of the video game Guitar Hero 5 that pushed Travis to start playing and inspired him to start a rock band, and Maddy’s first guitar teacher Alex who inspired her on all musical fronts. And then of course the natural influences we felt from some of our favorite bands from AC/DC to Tom Petty to Led Zeppelin, and so many more.
