Meet Carlos Patrick | Record Label Executive

We had the good fortune of connecting with Carlos Patrick and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Carlos, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factors behind Carlos Patrick, The Patricks, and CHISPA Music Group is humanity, care, and integrity. Our team not only loves music, we love to serve and educate our clients bridging the gap between artists and listeners. One of our West Coast associates, Dr. Calvin Bonds, is a brand ambassador for CHISPA Music in Los Angeles, CA. Dr. Calvin Bonds is an executive producer, publicist, international business strategist, and director. I honor him today.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a lover of God, family, and music. I discovered my love for music at a very young age. Learning to play multiple instruments by ear, I realized early on that I was blessed and gifted by the Creator. One of the most important lessons that I’ve learned is, keep a great team around you that supports you and honors your vision with integrity.

When we finished recording The Patricks Legacy album at American Studio in Memphis, TN., I began to assemble a wonderful team including Luella Patrick, Angie P. Holmes, Francine Moore, Chris King Communications, Steve Jones, and Dr. Calvin Bonds.

The Patricks Legacy album is a gift from God. We’re in the Billboard 2024 Grammy Preview Issue among some of the world’s very best artists up for Grammy Award consideration. My father, Frankie L. Patrick, is one of the nations very best gospel recording artists. He has worked long and hard in the music industry and he is now being celebrated. We are traveling to Nassau, Bahamas to celebrate my dad as he receives an Honorary Doctoral degree in Sacred Music from Christ Central International University.

We are currently working with Dr. Calvin Bonds to bridge the gap between the United States and Africa. Dr. Bonds and his LA based publicist team has won several Oscar awards. Dr. Calvin has assisted with production of Miss Universe Nigeria, mentoring of an orphanage of young ladies in Nigeria, and sponsorship of a school for blind students in Nigeria.

Dr. Bonds is impacting the world through creativity and innovation. The Patricks and CHISPA Music Group are happy to shout out Dr. Calvin Bonds.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live in Atlanta, GA., if my best friends were visiting we would frequent southern delicacy establishments. We would visit the King Center, the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, Pounce City Market, church services, and St. James Live for the best Jazz music in the country.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shoutout is Dr. Calvin Bonds. Dr. Calvin Bonds is one of Los Angeles, California’s very best entertainment industry’s mentors. Dr. Calvin’s very best characteristic is kindness. He leads with kindness and understanding. The CHISPA Music Group family is grateful for his winning strategy- highlighting The Patricks and bridging the gap the between the United States and Africa. We are preparing to attend his “Dr. Bonds & Friends 2024 Tour” in Nigeria.
