We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Woodard and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittany, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting my business began with creativity and being different from everyone else. You can have the same food as everyone but you can add your own twist and take it to another level of wow!!!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
When it comes to being a culinary artist you have to bring colors to any dish you’re cooking. Where I am today came with a lot of long days of hard work, pushing the brand, and faith. It takes a lot to run a business especially a restaurant. It has days of easy and also hard but as long as everyone’s satisfied at the end of day that’s what I love about the business. Along the way I’ve learned you have to take risks to see results. There is no master plan to any of this.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Memphis has a lot of great places to visit so first The Civil Rights Museum and lunch at The Arcade Restaurant. Second day we would go to the zoo and have lunch somewhere on the Square in Midtown. Third day we will visit Beale Street and try the restaurant’s on the street. Fourth day we will go to Graceland and have lunch at Piccadilly’s a great southern restaurant. Last few days I will host at my place and cook lunch and dinner.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shoutout my lovely fiancee Kay. She always has my back in all of my many endeavors. We met in 2020 and she jumped right on board with the company and the rest is history. I would like to thank her for everything she brings to the business.
