Meet Brittany Goodson | Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Goodson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittany, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I wanted to create a business whose main purpose was to please God. My paintings are a reflection of Jesus and His love for us.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is all about God and our relationship with Him. My journey started when my relationship with Jesus grew stronger. I recognized a pull inside as God was drawing me nearer to Him and showing me how I could share His love with others. I have always been drawn to art and drawing but when I put my love for art with my love for God, I was able to see my purpose in life. I believe I was sent here to encourage and inspire others through my artwork that God has shared with me. It has definitely not been easy. Not everyone wants to hear about God, no matter how good I think He is. But I continue to persevere and stand up boldly to share with whoever is ready to receive.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are lots of places around the city to eat and enjoy live music. But, if I was taking someone around, we would go to the Frist to see art, and enjoy the beautiful parks around town. There are also tons of places to shop.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would definitely give all the credit to my family. I have a huge support system that believes in me and always shows up for me. My family is encouraging and readily available whenever I need them.
