We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Best and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittany, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand has been staying true to why I started it in the first place: to bring joy, fairness, and confidence to every patient who walks through our doors. I named the medspa after my daughter, Finley, because I wanted this to be more than a business—I wanted it to be a legacy. Finley represents joy, love, and the future, and everything we do is guided by those values.

We focus on ethical, accessible aesthetic care because everyone deserves to feel good in their skin—not just those who can afford luxury-level treatments. I believe that’s why our patients trust us: we lead with heart, not ego. And I never lose sight of what matters most—spending quality time with my family, which keeps me grounded and reminds me daily of the bigger picture.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is a medspa named Finley & Co. Aesthetics, after my daughter. It’s more than just a name—it’s the heart of why I started this journey. I wanted to build something rooted in joy, intention, and legacy. At Finley & Co. Aesthetics, I’m all about making aesthetic treatments approachable, ethical, and personalized. I blend high-quality medical care with warmth and heart, so every patient feels seen, heard, and cared for—not just treated.

What truly sets me apart is the blend of medical expertise and genuine connection. I spent nearly 10 years working in the hospital as a nurse before opening, and while I loved caring for patients in that setting, stepping into this side of the nursing world has been deeply rewarding in a new way. I get to use my clinical knowledge to keep people safe and healthy—while also helping them feel beautiful and confident in their skin.

My patients aren’t just appointments—they become friends, and in many cases, feel like family. I’m so grateful for the loyal clients who trust me with their care, some even driving hours just to sit in my chair. That level of support humbles me every day.

I’m proud of creating a space where people feel uplifted, informed, and empowered. There’s nothing more fulfilling than watching someone’s confidence bloom after a treatment. I’m also proud that we’ve maintained a personal, boutique feel while delivering top-tier care. And honestly, the fact that I get to do all this while still being present for my family is something I don’t take for granted.

Like most small business owners, there were so many behind-the-scenes challenges—financial stress, long nights, and moments of serious doubt. But I stayed rooted in my purpose, leaned into my nursing background, and surrounded myself with people who believed in me. My husband has been a huge source of strength and encouragement, and the loyalty of my patients has meant the world.

I’ve learned that staying true to your values will always be more sustainable than chasing trends. I’ve also learned to honor my limits—especially as a mom and a business owner. The balance isn’t always perfect, but I make intentional time for my family because they are the reason behind it all. And I’ve learned that the relationships you build—especially in this industry—are everything. Kindness and trust go a long way.

I want people to know that my medspa a reflection of my journey—from hospital hallways to a dream I turned into reality. It’s a place where medicine meets beauty, and where patients are treated with the same care I’d give a loved one. I’m here to help people feel like their best selves—inside and out—and I’m endlessly grateful for the patients who’ve made this dream possible. Their support, love, and loyalty fuel everything we do.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit for a week, I’d take them off the beaten path and into the heart of what makes this place special. We’d start by escaping the hustle and heading out to the Cumberland River, where we’d spend a peaceful day fishing in the beautiful creeks, skipping rocks with my family, and just unplugging from the world. There’s something healing about being on the water with no agenda—just good conversation, laughter, and nature all around you.

We’d balance the quiet moments with some local flavor, too—grabbing coffee from The Dip in the mornings, enjoying a few dinners at family-owned restaurants like Riverview and Huddy’s, and a stroll through my favorite local boutique, Curiosity.

For me, a “best week ever” isn’t packed with tourist attractions—it’s about slowing down, reconnecting, and sharing the peaceful kind of joy this area has to offer.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have to give a huge shout-out to my husband—his unwavering support, encouragement, and belief in me have been the foundation of this journey. From late-night brainstorming sessions to being my sounding board during tough decisions, he’s been my constant. He believed in the vision for Finley & Co. Aesthetics even before it became real, and he reminds me every day that I can do hard things. Behind every strong woman is a partner who lifts her up, and I’m endlessly grateful for his love, patience, laughs on the hard days, and partnership.
