Meet Britney Chauntè | Licensed Esthetician & Self Love Visionary

We had the good fortune of connecting with Britney Chauntè and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Britney, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand is staying true to who I am and what I represent. I’ve realized that others support me simply because I’m being me and they are attracted to my energy. Owning a business in the era of social media can be difficult for people to detect what’s real or fake, but it’s important to me to stay true to who I am on and off of social media and people can tell and feel that in the virtual world.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a licensed esthetician and self love visionary. I specialize in men’s facials and promote the importance of prioritizing self care as it is an essential part of mastering self love. Once you master self love, you master everything else in life!
Growing up, I saw my dad prioritize self care. It was a part of his regular routine. I attribute his regular self care routine and his faith in God to his positive mental health. He was known to always have a positive spirit and just overall good energy. As I became an adult, I realized that most men in the black community did not have the privilege of seeing a man in the home make self care a priority. My mission is to change the narrative that self care is just for women. It’s essential for everyone, including men! Self care is directly linked to positive mental health as well as overall well being. I am working to bring more awareness to men making self care a priority by providing them with a safe space to be relaxed and refreshed and take a “mental break” from the everyday hustle of life.
It was challenging in the beginning to find my purpose because I didn’t really know who I was. Losing my dad in 2018 was one of the hardest realities I had to deal with. A few years later, Covid hit and then I went through a divorce. It was very difficult getting through those challenges, but I relied on God and regained my power and my confidence by going to therapy and also constantly reaffirming myself. I learned to accept flaws that I cannot change and worked on the things that I could change to make me a better person personally and professionally.
I’ve learned to continue to stay in my own lane and to not compare my self to others. I was created so uniquely and there is no one else in the world like me and that is what attracts others to me. I love me some me! And I hope others can learn to love themselves and see themselves the way
God sees them and know that they are enough.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to Puttshack for a fun day activity and then lunch at my fave Thai spot called Bangkok Station. We would have to get a work out in at some point by climbing Stone Mountain and admire the view from the top and then visit my favorite taco truck called Shmackin Tacos! We would enjoy some fun karaoke Wednesday night at The Avenue anlong with their $5 margaritas and then enjoy brunch on Sunday at Prime with their top tier drinks from one of my favorite bartenders.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate this to my dad. He is the reason I am who I am today. Growing up, he always affirmed me and made me feel like I can be the best in anything I put my mind to. He always kept a positive mindset and encouraged me to KEEP GOING and gave me the nudge I needed to do so. He passed away January 9, 2018 but I know he would be proud of the woman I am today.
