We had the good fortune of connecting with Brianna Wallace and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brianna, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand would be the faith that God, my support system, and my clients have in me. Without their guidance and reassurance, I wouldn’t have a business or brand. Owning a business is not easy, I say this, because in the past there have been periods when I didn’t have any clientele, and I admit it weighed heavily on me. I felt discouraged and oftentimes sad, but God  just kept reminding me to remember Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” When God says that something is going to happen for you, it’s already done, so instead of focusing on what’s happening right now, God wants you to prepare for the influx. He kept telling me, “if you really want to improve, do it. You keep saying that this is what you want, so show me.” You have to wake up and go after what you want, which means trying new products, creating new content, experimenting with camera angles, practicing new techniques all of which plays a key role in the success of your business. But, one must always remember to be teachable. Solomon says in Proverbs 12:1 NLT, “To learn you must love discipline; it is stupid to hate correction.” During any slow season, it’s important to use this time wisely by continuing to learn, asking questions, and researching how you can achieve better results consistently. I know it’s easier said than done, but that’s what has helped me. You have to be persistent because if you stop you’ll always wonder what if. When God calls you to move, do it. The faith that God has bestowed upon me, is what has gotten me this far in my career. Nothing in life that’s worth achieving is easy. So remember Matthew 6:33 and keep persevering. He called you to do it, so do it!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

I’m Brianna Wallace, and I’m the owner of The BrowsbyBree Beauty Studio located in Memphis, TN. I’m a licensed Esthetician who specializes in Brow & Makeup Artistry. Although, I’ve only been licensed for almost 3 years, I’ve always been passionate about the cosmetic industry.

As a Brow & Makeup Artist, I make it my mission to create an atmosphere that is warm and inviting for all of my clients. My clients are offered an array of beauty services that can be tailored to fit their specific needs. My services include Brow Waxing & Tinting, Soft & Full Glam applications, Glam on the Go, Bridal Glam, 1-on-1 Glam Artistry classes, Glam Concierge service,  and more.

I want my clients to exude confidence, and it truly brightens my day when my clients are in awe after their services. Starting out, I made it my mission to build a bond with my clients, so they’ll know that they can always contact me if they have any questions about new services, products they’ve encountered, etc. I aspire to be the service provider that grows with my clients from prom to college graduation and even their wedding day. I know I wouldn’t be able to keep my studio open without my clients, I truly enjoy the laughs and the conversations we’ve had. I want them to know that I’m grateful that they’ve chosen me for their beauty services.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If a friend is visiting Memphis for the first time, I would definitely take them to Coastal Fish Company. The ambience is perfect for both lunch or dinner. The view of Hyde Lake while enjoying their Joyce Chicken is amazing and should definitely be experienced.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?

First, I want to give glory to God and Jesus Christ for leading and never leaving me throughout this journey. I truly don’t know where I would be without them. I want to also thank Beverly Tutton, Jessica and Weston Sitzes, and my entire family for assisting me with my numerous production projects, for inspiring and encouraging me to keep going, and reminding me to keep Our Heavenly Father first in all that I do.

Thank you to my brand ambassador Yakira McCrakken, for her continued support of my business, and Denecia Miller, for inspiring me and being a mentor. I would also like to thank Jasmine Jenkins, Kianna Burnett-Edwards, and Adriana Casso.
