We had the good fortune of connecting with Braydon Butler and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Braydon, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Taking risks is all part of the game. When you make a business or brand, especially as an artist, you only get as much back as you put into it, so if you don’t take the risks necessary to succeed then you won’t. It’s plain and simple. Yes, you will be broke most times, and you will risk embarrassment at times, people will make fun of you for pursuing your dreams. They will say your just being reckless because they don’t understand the vision that you have. They don’t understand the heights and the goals you have in mind. You have to focus on those goals and make them happen. That’s the mindset I try to keep when it comes to risks.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m an artist. Being a smaller artist is hard, it’s difficult to get your music out to the world and have people that actually care to listen because most people only care to listen to what’s hot already instead of giving us new artists a chance. I’m learning to market my music better and I’ve been working with significantly larger artists on my upcoming album and I’ll see how it does when it drops. I’ve invested well over a year on this album spent over $4k in the production of it. I know that it will be worth it even if it doesn’t get very popular because I got the chance to work with and connect with some amazing people and I wouldn’t trade that for “success” in anyone else’s definition by any means. To me, I reached goals. That’s success even if it’s small.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite spot in Nashville is the broadway area. It’s beautiful in general and usually even more beautiful during holidays. I’ve got tons of memories made there that are special to me.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The rappers Grey Matter and Ciara Adams. Both have been very influential in the beginning of my story. They helped me realize my potential in all of this. They helped me get on my first shows over a year ago and have both been helping me since day one. Both are amazing people with amazing mindsets and when I come up I hope to take both of them with me as high as I can.
