We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon Russell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brandon, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor to me is my authenticity and great relationships due to networking! Your net worth is as big as and
successful as your network. My story is real and captivating. Once
someone sees the motion of my brand, and then speaks to me, it all
becomes full circle for them. They want to support and help be a part
of it! The same goes for my Music and Clothing Line. I absolutely must
attribute my success to the power of prayer and the blessings from
God! Faith without WORK is dead so I pray just as hard as I work. I
also would have to mention my family and loved ones as they keep me
grounded and recharged. The support, honesty, and love that they show
me keeps me on my toes and challenges me to dig deep and give my best
on any and everything I set my mind on. I most definitely have to give
credit to my fans/supporters. I simply would not be successful without
them. For every stream of my music, view of my videos(music visuals,
interviews, and docuseries), attending shows and buying tickets to see
me perform, buying merchandise and ABKLLD Clothing items, and sharing
all the above across social media add to my success daily! Im thankful
for it all! Staying disciplined, humbled, focused, alongside hard work
and prayer is the formula for success for me!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a Rap Artist with a huge influence from Southern Rap, Soul, RnB, and the Blues. Also, a talented singer/songwriter. I manage and create my own Merchandise and Clothing Line called #AirBornKingsLifeLongDreams (ABKLLD) Clothing! My music, videos, Clothing items, etc., can all be found and purchased from my website www.thankgodimframe.com. What sets me apart from others is my story and my message! Which is also why I have made it to this level today! Some days are easy, most days are hard, but thats life and for any path you choose. The key is to keep on believing and never give up! My music and brands sole purpose is to motivate, inspire, and make people feel good about themselves.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Depends on where we are. As I live in the Nashville area now, but MEMPHIS will always be home for me! For Nashville, we would go to Opry Mills mall, head to West End to go to a couple restaurants and bars like Hopsmith Tavern, Kung Fu Saloon. Go skating at River gate, and maybe go to a couple rooftops.

For Memphis, we could grab some good BBQ from Tops BBQ or pizza from Broadway Pizza. Get some great soul food from Southern Hands. Go inside The Pyramid and walk around Mud Island and Riverside. Catch a Grizzlies game and go to a few lounges. I also enjoy bowling, laser tag and other fun stuff. But if they are anything like me, then staying in and watching a good movie or having a game night with good food and drinks is top notch!
