Meet Blair Peters | CEO, Mentor to Motivate & Anesthesia Technologist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Blair Peters and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi BLAIR, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
History reveals that many great businesses such as hospitals, international missions/projects, alliances, global impact and ultimately change all began at a small nonprofit organization that is dedicated and determined to achieve a mission & purpose that is more important than yourself.
Tennessee State University is one of the most praised HBCU’s in the Unites States. I recently graduated from the New Farmer Academy at the illustrious Tennessee State University (TSU). I am currently developing a farm program for students that will serve as a resource in Nashville, Tennessee and surrounding areas.
My end goal is a farm on 300+ acres. The farm will serve as an educational development center for all students that includes but is not limited to: at-risk, disabled, gifted, non-traditional, traditional, transitional, troubled, and underrepresented students. Mentor to Motivate (MTM) will expand the all programs nationally by 2025. The organization will and organize international programs by 2027.
Ultimately, the end goal is to create a space for students that has never been seen before.
I do believe it is most important to create a space that is “safe” for all students.
The space must remain free of judgement.
The space must remain free of negative influences such as crime, death and poverty.
The space must provide a positive perspective for students.
The space is designed to identify and meet the need(s) of students individually.
The space uses interactive (sensory) technology to facilitate student development.
The space contributes to the student’s development of valuable life skills through agriculture.
The space allows students to adopt agricultural/farming skills to provide for their family at-home.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My passion in life is to help people.
The most useful tool in my professional career has been accountability. I hold myself to a certain standard initially, then I maintain the standard, lastly I hold others to the same standard. Whether you are right or wrong, you have the power to act or influence the greater-good for all. I believe accountability sets me apart from others.
The city of Nashville experienced a monumental natural disaster shortly after the Mentor to Motivate (MTM) organization was established. Tornadoes destroyed North Nashville, Tennessee on March 3, 2020. Then, 7 days later the COVID pandemic restrictions began. I just want readers to understand that from the beginning, the Mentor to Motivate organization has proven dedication to the community or Nashville by providing disaster relief and free-child care.
Mentor to Motivate has a hand in what the community of Nashville is today by influencing clean neighborhoods. Mentor to Motivate organizes volunteers and adequate supplies for community service projects and street clean-ups. The organization adopted 7 street blocks in Nashville, Tennessee through the beautification program, which is a community partnership with Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure (NDOT). The organization hosts 4 street clean ups annually.
The Mentor to Motivate organization has faced and overcome great challenges. Despite every obstacle, the organization has positively impacted 7,160 lives since establishing in 2019. The organization continues to increase access to arts and education through impactful student programs. The organization provides summer programs that include weekly field trips, community outreach events, partnerships, autism and mental health awareness & more.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Food makes me happy! Plus, all women enjoy dressing up for food. With the food scene in Nashville growing steadily, I try make dinner reservations before I get out of bed. My favorite weekend thing is Brunch and a visit to the Spa with my goal friends. Then, we snack and shop with local businesses until it is time for dinner.
My “happy” places are:
The Alchemy Cafe

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The Mentor to Motivate (MTM) organization changed my life. The responsibility wakes me up every morning without an alarm clock and the impact is priceless!
The organization established in 2019, as a 501(c)3 nonprofit focused on arts and education. The organization’s mission and purpose is: “to serve as the primary liaison between underrepresented students and the access to arts and educational resources.” Underrepresented students include but are not limited to: at-risk, disabled, gifted, non-traditional, traditional, transitional, troubled, and underrepresented students.
The Mentor to Motivate (MTM) organization would not be the impactful resource it is without the genuine support of Reverend Harry Allen and St. Luke Church, Valencia Maddox, Ann Armstrong, Jhaniece Wright, Dr. Boyd, The John Henry Soto Show and The Peters Family. The continued support from students, parents, and the community of Nashville is much appreciated! WE look forward to many more years of excellence and success.
