We had the good fortune of connecting with Bella Logan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bella, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
Clarksdale, Mississippi, a quaint town in the delta, is the place of my birth and upbringing. My family has a rich heritage rooted in the traditions of the South. Although my family did not possess great wealth, we formed a cohesive unit that esteemed diligence and the tradition of Sunday meals. The path has not consistently been devoid of challenges, yet the insights we cultivate and refine collectively as a family are priceless. To add, as I grew into my sexuality, unknowingly, I started to exhibit traits and characteristics of someone who in my environment classified as gay without them ever confirming. Regardless of your acknowledgment, if you were like me or anything close to it, you experienced a significant amount of bullying, a challenge I also faced during my adolescent/teenage years. Conversely, I encountered considerable rejection from both my peers and family regarding my sexuality when I ultimately chose to embrace my authentic self; many wielded the Bible as a means to ostracize me and my identity. It is among the factors that solidified my resolve and distanced me from organized religion, particularly Christianity.

At this juncture, I perceive that a significant aspect of my vocation and mission is to restore the connection of numerous hearts and souls that have distanced themselves from Jesus, largely due to the church’s doctrines and objectives that, perhaps unintentionally, propagate a considerable amount of animosity among God’s children, resulting in division among human beings. My family adheres to conventional beliefs and practices, strongly emphasizing spirituality. Having two generations of pastors in my family, I maintain a steadfast commitment to my beliefs and salvation. However, as I matured and developed my sense of self, I found myself grappling with self-loathing and a sense of treachery towards my creator. This turmoil stemmed from a profound confusion regarding the purpose behind my existence, particularly in a world that seemed to harbor such disdain for me. Consequently, I found myself filled with resentment towards the divine and distanced myself from them. Yet, through his benevolence and compassion, he welcomed me back with an unwavering embrace. He provided me with solace in a manner that was both just and enlightening, leading me to a deeper understanding of his philosophies and principles. I have discovered my true home and my rightful place within the teachings of Christ, and in doing so, my faith has been renewed profoundly. My relationship with Jesus has reached a level of strength and depth that surpasses all previous experiences. He evolved into both my closest companion and a paternal figure. A sibling and a maternal figure. I could not envision a more exemplary companion. I don’t think I would have developed my connection with God or achieved my current level of self-awareness and social media presence if I hadn’t gone through what I did and been raised according to the traditions my family passed on to me. Because of my lowly beginnings, I know that I am never really alone and that there is a need in the world for people who are similar to me.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
While I possess expertise across various domains, my reputation is particularly distinguished in the realms of modeling, unique stylistic expression, and contemporary editing and photography techniques. I find the luxuries of confinement rather unappealing; thus, I have been channeling my abilities into creative expression. My enduring passion lies in fostering peace, love, and joy among those I encounter virtually and physically, alongside the pursuit of innovative methods to unite humanity. Somehow, my content has shifted in a way I’ve managed to accomplish doing so through my craft.

Nonetheless, my passion and dedication to my pursuits distinguish me from others and aided me in getting where I am today, if I may say so modestly. At this juncture, my most significant achievement lies in my unwavering commitment to both myself and humanity. It was never easy, and I tried many different things to cope with the hardships of life and everlasting duties. The only thing that could truly help me was prayer and having faith over fear. I also journaled a lot, and that was an amazing outlet for me to detangle my thoughts, which then led to me writing poetry. I learned over time in my passion to not compare myself and remain as authentic as possible. Aim to set trends not follow them. Lastly, as I prepare to engage with future clients, followers, and supporters, rest assured that any project I am entrusted with will be managed with the utmost care and expertise.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Memphis night life is quite different than any other city I have experienced. Personally, I enjoy certain places here in the area starting with Cru hookah lounge. This is typically me and my friends go to when we want to have a good time and actually feel safe. Staff is very professional and welcoming to all. Highly recommend if you are ever visiting the Memphis area. The Genre is awesome as well. If you aren’t a fan of lounges or clubs, Overton Square has great bars and restaurants that are great for casual dining and fun, Porch & Parlor being one of my favorite restaurants for fine dining. Lastly, Crosstown Concourse is a must visit if you are someone who loves art and culture. It’s an amazing place to take pictures for my content creators and have tons of events for groups of all ages.
