We had the good fortune of connecting with Beka Bishop and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Beka, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
We want to bring music back to Music City. We know, bold statement, but we’re tired of concerts not being about music anymore. We’re tired of concerts being based solely on social media numbers. We’re tired of our competition forgetting the value of music and artists.

Fantom Presents is a show promotion and release party company based in Nashville, TN. Our main priority is to showcase great music and treat humans like humans, not numbers. We want to create core memories for everyone who attends, works, and performs for a Fantom Presents concert and keep things fresh by revamping how Music City puts on shows. Every show will prioritize inclusivity and safety.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Fantom Presents is a Nashville-based, woman-led Live Event Company that specializes in concert promotion, release party planning. and putting on the hottest shows in Music City.

The decision to start Fantom was easy, but the process has been an uphill battle. I’m grateful to be on this journey and know that Fantom is going to make a huge impact on Music City. We put music and artistry first. If an artist – of any genre- can put on a good show, I don’t necessarily care about what their social media numbers are.

Fantom Presents is different than other promotion companies simply based off our integrity. Our main priority is to showcase great music and treat humans like humans, not numbers. We want to create core memories for everyone who attends, works, and performs for a Fantom Presents concert and keep things fresh by revamping how Music City puts on shows. Every show will prioritize inclusivity and safety.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Nashville isn’t just about country music, so I’d share some of my favorite spots that the blogs aren’t talking about yet. Some of my favorite, eclectic bars are Old Glory and Rosemary & Beauty Queen. I’m a big foodie as well, so Butcher and Bee, Sadie’s, Nomzilla, Sunflower Bakehouse, Vui’s Juice Cafe, Two Boots, bartaco, and Jack Brown’s. If the weather is nice, definitely head over to Arrington Vineyards! There are so many amazing trails as well. I avoid Broadway – but check out Whiskey Row and Miranda Lambert’s.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost, my dad has been my biggest supporter throughout the process of starting Fantom Presents. I previously owned an artist management company – B Sweet Management – and when that chapter closed, I wanted to make sure my next steps were from the heart. Thankfully, my team from my previous efforts were on board and joined me with Fantom. Jay, Alex, and Michelle – I don’t think I could do this without you all, so thank you from the bottom of my heart. I also want to say a special thanks to JJ Farrell for empowering me to get to Nashville 3 years ago – I appreciate you more than you know.
