We had the good fortune of connecting with Bee Hale and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bee, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
The most important lesson my business has taught me is to stay consistent, and promote my business every single day.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I started with LIPSTICK! Now, I have so many products. I’ve also added an underwear line. You really have to love it. I love doing makeup, teaching make up, and providing amazing customer experiences. Hard work and consistency will keep you going in business in general. You have to push through even when your world is falling apart. It hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it.

I’m most excited about being a new mom! The smile on that sweet face encourages me to keep going! ALWAYS FORWARD.

I want people to know that this all started as just an idea. Research whatever “thing” you think is out of reach; and you’ll see it’s not as far away as you think. Go for it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First, I would take them to get some Pure Herbal Immunity Tea because COVID is still present. Then, we would go to The Check In, which is operating inside of Growlers in midtown. That food is AMAZING! Next, hoping it was a Dope On Arrival night… or a Let’s Get Loud beat battle, we’d stick around for the show! The next day, we would hit up Sage Memphis for some good o’ soul rolls.. We would go to an open mic night wherever Mak of Memphis is hosting. We would definitely have to go to a Grizzlies game for sure. We would have to visit Bala’s Bistro and Trap Fusion in Whitehaven. Then, on Sunday we would worship at The Church at The Well in Cordova!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I always shine the light on my friends and customers. My friends who support me and book my makeup services. Also, my customers who are the reason beeColorful the brand is still thriving 4 years later. I’m extremely grateful for the people all over the country who show love and support and don’t know me personally at all.
