Hi Ashley, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
One thing about the travel industry that many people might not realize is just how much time and effort travel agents invest in training and education, especially when it comes to different destinations. Agents complete training programs and often specialize in specific regions or types of travel, becoming experts in everything from theme parks to luxury European getaways.

In my journey as a travel agent, I have made a commitment to personalized service and attention to detail. I pride myself on creating unforgettable travel experiences for each and every client. But what truly excites me is the opportunity to share my passion for travel with others. Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love living in the Tri Cities area of Tennessee, it is truly so incredibly beautiful! Some of our family favorites are going to Play It Again Retro Arcade, hiking on Laurel Falls Trail or Roan Mountain, pottery painting at Into the Fire, visiting Brights Zoo or Bays Mountain. To eat we would showcase some other family go-to’s like Yong Asian House, Si Senor, Label Restaurant, Crazy Tomato, Kalm Bistro, and of course Pals. This area has a little bit of everything.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many wonderful people in my journey who have helped me through this journey. My parents have played a huge part in who I am! They have continued to support and give guidance in my business. My husband, Brandon Barnett, has also been a pillar during times and a cheerleader celebrating my successes. I also would like to thank Gen Treadway for her guidance, support, encouragement. and leadership.
