Meet Ash Taylor | Country Music Recording Artist & Songwriter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ash Taylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ash, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
I truly believe that having a clear vision of where you want to be, and what is your end result is is very important. That way you know what it is you want to accomplish.
Once you have that vision in place. I think the most important thing is figuring out what steps you need to take in order to get there. This requires a lot of hard work, dedication and definitely a lot of organization. I think the habit of keeping what you want in the forefront of your mind and making sure you’re being efficient and taking the proper steps daily towards that end goal is very very important to your success. Don’t let distractions and things take you off of that path.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am originally from Bakersfield, California. When I moved to Nashville a few years back, I didn’t have a job and I slept in the backseat of my car. I moved here with a dream to write songs, and I did everything in my power to make sure that that dream became a reality.
Fast-forward to today and I get to travel the world playing the songs that I write. I have been blessed to win a series of awards and have even charted on several charts as well has have my songs recorded by several different recording artists.
I have put out a series of EP and singles my most recent one though is actually a Christmas song. I released my rendition of the Buck Owens Christmas classic “Santa Looked A Lot Like Daddy” on 11/24/2023. The song is available on all major streaming platforms and we also have a music video premiering on my YouTube channel on Saturday, December 2nd.
We have lots of new exciting things in the work for the new year so please be sure to head on over to my website ashtaylor.com to follow along on our journey.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Nashville definitely does not have a shortage of great and amazing places! I would definitely take them to Edley’s barbecue. You have to visit the Musicians Hall of Fame & The Country Music Hall of Fame while in town. Of course, Broadway is a must. I’d also take them to a show at the Ryman and do some karaoke at Santa’s pub.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I feel like I have so many people that I should thank. I am so honored to work with so many incredible and talented people. I think if I could shout out anybody though I would have to say it would be to my husband/band leader Christopher DeLisle. He is my biggest fan, my rock, and my partner in everything in life. There is no way my life or career would be what it is today without him.
