Meet Archer Astrology | Tarot Reader

We had the good fortune of connecting with Archer Astrology and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Archer, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’ve started and operated a few companies over the years this one was the latest idea my mind came up with. From car accessories to musician and property management and now tarot, I’ve always trusted my ideas whenever they come to me. I’ve always believed when one can’t pursue their dreams they sometimes lose a spark for life. It’s about finding that thing that excites you when you think about it. This business came from the facts that I have read the tarot since I was an child and am a third generation reader.
I’d noticed since the introduction of digital media that the meaning of tarot had been lost. People using it for dark reasons while people are there to cope with some major losses in their lives This negativity, along with an idea I had one night while talking with my dearest friend down in Florida, I thought of bringing it out of this negativity and back into the good where it began.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Tarot was introduced in 1367 in Italy. At the time it was known as Trionfi being used for a card game named Tarocchini, similar to what we today call Euchre. In Italy today many still use tarot for card games. The Tarot de Marseilles predates the Rider Waite decks and is what most decks today are still based on. In 1506 astrological symbolism began being added to the cards and card games continued as tarot spread into Germany and other parts of Europe. To this day in Sicily where my Sagittarius grandmother immigrated from it is still a commonly played card game with no divination associated with it.
The esoteric connections came during the 1700s in France when some tied the Egyptian themed artwork of early decks as a connection to ancient knowledge and the ability to predict future patterns in the world based on historic evidence and astrological cycles repeating themselves over time. In 1789 the modern day tarot based on the Egyptian texts from the book of Toth were applied to the cards which has become widely accepted world wide as what we today call a tarot deck.
Psychic mediums such as myself use the cards as a way at communicating with energy that is around us all the time. The way my Grandmother explained it was that everything in this universe emits energy and has an energetical signature that can be tapped into and heard. The deck allows a reader to interpret the frequency they are receiving. Think of it as receiving morse code from the universe with a guide to which dashes and dots spell out each letter in order to receive the messages. Want to know where you’re going? Where you’ve been? What’s to come or what’s going on? The cards tap into the cycles that the entire universe has been experiencing since the day God created it. Every planet and star has been in the position it is right now at some point in history already. This allows us to read the current status of world cycles and pick up the patterns that we all experience. Think of Tarot as the universe’s weather map or the Bible. Telling the story of creation and how take the most righteous and good approach to things we all face in the world. Including love. This is when the tarot went from helping predict possible courses for world direction and growth to discovering lost love and possible future unions. It has since been adapted to all aspects of life following these planetary and energetical cycles we all experience and a possible future prediction based on the energy that dictates which cards a reader will see after the shuffle. God places the cards in the order that the reader sees them, similar to if you randomly opened a Bible and began reading from what ever page and verse you’re at. It happened for a reason.
My grandmother and mother were the ones that taught me the biblical meanings of each of the cards. I was born and raised Catholic and have studied comparative religion over the years while practicing both Catholic and Christian religion in my time in this planet. My Sicilian grandmother learned in the 1930s from an elder Catholic priest that was a 6th generation reader in Italy dating back to the formation of tarot. Where the Rider Waite deck followed Egyptian beliefs the original Marseilles deck was adapted to Roman Catholic teachings and tied to biblical stories. Many Italian priests used early tarot decks as early as the 1600s to guide which Bible teachings were discussed during services and to help people in the congregation as to which biblical verses would help them through daily struggles people of the time faced.
These teachings were extended to my mother and then handed down to me when my mother noticed that at a young ange I would tell her stories of ancient historical events and future predictions that would come true. In August of 1985 one day my Grandfather was teaching me of the lost Titanic which I would develop a deep love for. While he was telling me of it this time however I said to him. “It’s not lost, they know where it is.” The next month Robert Ballard made headlines for locating the wreck. In January of 1986 while watching Challenger take off as the countdown was going on that I spoke up saying “Don’t let it take off Mom it’s going to blow up.” Later in April 1986 I woke one morning telling her about a bad explosion. That evening Chernobyl made headlines. At this point she consulted her mother who said “He has the gift. He can read the energy. Teach him tarot the way I taught you. Be sure to include God.”
Since then I’ve worked since a to develop my gifts. Mom being a catechism teacher allowed her to develop some special lesson plans for me that tied tarot to the biblical teachings using her mother’s tarot deck that grandma had wrote Bible verses on every card. Meanwhile the more modern tarot strayed from its roots becoming the things of divination and dark arts I came to enlightenment one day during Bible study that my Acts 24:20 mission was to bring the tarot back to light and good. Teaching that it isn’t meant to show someone “all the bad things happening to that person that hurt you.” But to guide us towards our best possible future just as the Bible. To lead us into a place of peace, love and light. The thousand years of peace described in the book of revelations. What the best possible outcome may be for one’s career path, love life, and personal growth. Tarot is never etched in stone but simply used as a road map giving the best possible outcome and how to reach it. As in any situation our free will can and will override the tarot at any given time. Just as when your gps says to turn left in 1/4 mile and you miss that turn the gps recalculates from your current location just as tarot does when a free will decision changes the outcome.
So, here we are. Combining my roots in the music industry, having been in and managed several bands over the years along with my years of religious upbringing with a little bit of common sense and humor to the tarot to lighten the taboo image that has been attached to the tarot over the years and bring it back to the good standings it was in when originally conceived nearly 700 years ago.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There are so many beautiful and historical places we would need more than a week!
Definitely a visit to Centennial Park on the west end and Bicentennial Park near the capital. Both are beyond beautiful and give a history of Nashville as well as peace and tranquility.
Music Row would be on the list as well to see the CMA headquarters, RCA studios and such. A visit to 12 south to see the “I believe in Nashville” and “Looking Pretty in Music City” murals. Grab a coffee at White Benson or a meal at Heart’s. Then a stop at Nashville Pumpkin Co. to see the cool vintage truck and get some mums.
Then downtown to see the Ryman auditorium and go to a concert and a visit to the Country Music Hall of Fame. A stop at Ariat Brand Shop, Freebird Stores and The Cosmic Closet of course for all little shopping Nashville style.
There would definitely be stops at The Twelve Thirty club for some perfect margaritas and amazing sushi. NashHouse for happy hour and friend pickles. Honkey Tonk Central and Lainey Wilson’s Bell Bottoms Up would also be on the list.
A few walks along Broadway can easily fill a week with plans in a matter of seconds. Nashville’s culture is unmatched!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The thought of taking my art public are thanks to my mother who believed in my idea to bring tarot back into the good from the people who were using it for the wrong reasons. My dear friend in Florida who also reads the tarot that told me I should start a YouTube channel instead of just moderating hers. That my unique views on the cards were needed in a time plagued with fighting and hate where religion had lost the importance it deserved and needed. Also one very special Sagittarius that came into my life, and after hearing every story I had on Titanic’s history she suggested focusing on another passion because I knew everything about Titanic at that point. She then said, “what about tarot? Last but not least to Nashville local singer songwriter, Kaitlin Petty for the idea to incorporate my connections and love for music into my YouTube channel as well. Helping people heal through music as Ephesians 5:19 speaks of. I am very blessed and lucky to have had these people come into my life. Everything happens for a reason.
